The Cowboys began the process of clearing room to get under the 2014 salary cap of $133 million by restructuring the contracts of cornerback Orlando Scandrick and linebacker Sean Lee.

Lee converted $4.75 million of his $5.5 million base salary into signing bonus for next season, while Scandrick moved $3.75 million of his $4.5 millon base salary into bonus.

The moves cleared roughly $7 million in cap room for the Cowboys, who were $15-$18 million over the cap. They still have some work to do to get under the cap by March 11.
