The Cowboys got good news of sorts on Monday when it revealed that running back DeMarco Murray and defensive end DeMarcus Ware didn't sustain any long-term injuries after being sidelined in Sunday's 31-16 victory against the Commanders.
Per a source, Murray and Ware are unlikely to play against the Eagles on Sunday. But the Cowboys are hopeful that Murray can return from the sprained knee for the Lions game the following week.
The prognosis is pretty much the same for Ware and his strained quadriceps muscle, though the Cowboys plan to wait until the end of the week before ruling him out of the Eagles game. They want to see if can do something in practice later in the week, though they are not optimistic.
Still the injuries are not considered major, which is good news for the Cowboys.
