The Cowboys will decide Tuesday whether to place Tony Romo on short-term injured reserve, a source said.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said during his press conference Monday that the starting quarterback would undergo tests on his back to see where the healing process stands.

“We can take the next couple of days, and the reason why we want to take the next couple of days is we want to make sure it’s enough time out from the original injury, and that’s where we’re going to get the most information,” Garrett said.

The Cowboys are leaning toward keeping Romo on the 53-player roster, the source said, hoping the veteran can return after the bye week for the Oct. 30 game against the Eagles.

Romo injured his back Aug. 25 against the Seahawks, and the compression fracture of his L1 vertebra will keep him out 6-10 weeks. Romo will miss the first eight weeks of the season – seven games – if the Cowboys place him on injured reserve/designated to return.

Sources have said the fracture will have to fully heal before doctors clear Romo to return. But the Cowboys believe Romo has a chance to play a week before the Nov. 6 game against the Browns, which would mark his return from short-term IR, and thus likely carry Romo on the active roster while he rehabs.

Tony's hand looks like Freddy Krueger's hand minus the blades.

Dejavu was a good girl. She's been gone a long time now, but she was our first APBT. Everyone thought she was a puppy because she only weighed 35 lbs.
In time..l will send some pictures of my babies...l have some beauties. Real great and sweet pitties. You will love them. Great family dogs. I have bred them for years. I live in Central America...and the Pitbull is loved here. It is not the same as the regulators of the North.9
