While it may not appeared the Cowboys focued on the run game much against the Giants because quarterback Tony Romo had 49 passing attempts, compared to 23 rushes in the game, don't let numbers diminish the impact of running back DeMarco Murray in the game.

Murray had 86 yards on 20 carries and caught eight passes for 39 yards

He also arguably made the play of the game in the first quarter by running down Giants safety Ryan Munday after a 91-yard interception return. Murray tackled him at the 1 yard line, preventing a touchdown.

"Just ran, man. Just ran. Just ran," Murray said afterwards. "It was a long way. I had freaking spaghetti legs the whole game after that. So it was a long way."

The Cowboys defense forced a field goal on the ensuing Giants drive.

“We always talk about finishing the play on defense,” Garrett said. “That applies to everybody. That was a big play in the game to hold them to a field goal. The defense did a great job. That doesn’t happy if DeMarco doesn’t make that play.”
