The Cowboys may have added an undisciplined player when they added defensive end Jeremy Mincey.

His former coach in Jacksonville, Gus Bradley, said Mincey had distractions while he was with the Jaguars. There were reports of him being late to meetings. Bradley said a change of scenery could help.

“I know I have had extended conversations with him, and you do gravitate towards him,” Bradley said from the owners meetings in Orlando. “He is open-minded to listening and hearing things. And with a guy like Rod Marinelli there, he will continue to improve.”

Bradley said Mincey is a promising player.

“He is really strong. He is good at the point of attack,” Bradley said. “I think he has some inside rush. For us, he got some pressure on the quarterback.”

Asked what went wrong for Mincey in Jacksonville, Bradley said, “I think there were some distractions there for him. We tried to work though those distractions. We texted each other when he was at Denver, and I wished him well at the Super Bowl. I just think he had maybe too many distractions, and to be in another environment where there are less of those, I think, maybe is good.”

A reporter followed up: “So he is not an undisciplined guy?”

Bradley answered: “On the field, no.”
