Cowboys coach Jason Garrett has no interest in rehashing the departure of Jay Ratliff leading up to the reunion with the defensive tackle when the Cowboys play the Bears Monday night.

“We’re playing the Chicago Bears,” Garrett said. “We’ve talked about this before, Jay was a big contributor to our team for a number of years. Have a great deal of respect for him as a player, but we’re getting ready to play the Bears.”

Ratliff was released by the Cowboys a few weeks ago because it was deemed that he was too injured to play this season. Ratliff then signed with the Bears, making his season debut last week against the Vikings.

Garrett was asked if he thought Ratliff would play this season after being released by the Cowboys, but he wouldn't budge.

“I don’t know what his mindset was during that whole process,” Garrett said. “We’re focused on what we need to do to play our best football on Monday night.”
