Do you not agree this is a perfect time to see what Escobar has? I'm not really sure why anyone would be upset with the notion of trying to replace a 33 year old TE with a TE we drafted in the second round.
We need to evaluate the guys on the depth chart. What's the worst that can happen? Escobar sucks as the starter and Witten starts next year. The best thing? Escobar impresses, shows us he's the future, and we roll with him next year and relegate Witten to the backup role.

Irvin88_4life[/SIZE]] I wouldn't, Witten is keeping his game streak alive
LOL ok, I like and respect witten, but these are actually silly records, that dont benefit the team.
They are individual achievements that dont really mean anything but that he has played a long time.
His game record has had him playing hurt , and at times that was negative "for the team". he has played hurt this year.
So even when he is hurt he still plays not escobar !
No way he would sit out the rest of season "for the team" he probably cares more about his records.
Right now Cowboys still have a shot, so it doesnt matter, but if they lose next 2, then they should sit witten, let him start each game then
sit, and play escobar and see how he does as the full time starter.
Same for moore, and many others, let them play and evaluate in a real game.
