Dallas always gets ratings. They should have said how these ratings compare to other Monday night games this year.

The Cowboys’ only
Monday Night Football appearance of the season tied a season-high overnight.
The Week 13 Cowboys/Washington Monday Night Football game earned a 10.0 overnight rating on ESPN, up 22% from Dolphins/Jets last year (8.2) but down 6% from Saints/Seahawks in 2013 (10.6). Overnights peaked at an 11.5 from 11:30-11:45 PM ET, marking just the third time since Week 1 that
MNF has peaked after 10 PM ET.
The 10.0 overnight is tied as the highest of the season for
MNF, matching Bills/Patriots two weeks earlier. As with the Cowboys this week, that game marked the Patriots’ lone MNF appearance this season.
Despite the season-high, the Cowboys’ last-second win ranks as the lowest rated MNF game to involve the team since at least 2008 (overnights prior to 2009 were not available). Their appearance last year, also against Washington, had a 12.1.
ESPN’s telecast had a 17.3 rating in Washington, D.C. and an 11.1 in Dallas-Ft. Worth. The game was simulcast on local affiliates in both markets, earning a 10.2 on D.C. independent affiliate WDCA and a 17.0 on Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA. Richmond (22.7), Norfolk (18.6) and San Antonio (15.8) rounded out the top five.
