Defensive end DeMarcus Ware and cornerback Orlando Scandrick sat out practice Wednesday, the only work this week for the Cowboys as they take their bye weekend.

Ware aggravated his quadriceps injury in Sunday's game against the Saints. No injury was announced for Scandrick in the game.

But the Cowboys did get two players back to practice. Receiver Miles Austin and rookie linebacker DeVonte Holloman worked. Austin has been out since a Week 3 hamstring injury, and Holloman was hurt in Week 6 against the Commanders.

Cornerback Morris Claiborne and safety J.J. Wilcox did not practice but rehabbed on the side.

Linebackers Sean Lee and Justin Durant, each out three to four weeks with a hamstring injury, did not practice.
