So what’s in the secret sauce?
It was one of the first questions reporters had for the players and coaches interviewed at the kickoff luncheon Wednesday. A day earlier, executive vice president Stephen Jones said the organization is convinced it still has the “quote-unquote secret sauce” to winning championships again.
So what’s in it, coach Jason Garrett?
“You’ll have to ask him what he meant by that,” Garrett said. “What I know is, our goal is to bring the right kind of guys together and do things the right way every day. That’s what we always try to do. We have goals and aspirations for our organization, but we really try to stay focused on what we need to do each and every day to be our best. So that’s what we focus on.”
What’s in the sauce, Jason Witten?
“I don’t know,” he said. “He’s the boss. I do think that we’re proud of the work we’ve done throughout training camp and OTAs and some of the things we’ve tried to clean up from last year. As I’ve said throughout camp, I think now it’s about us going and executing. It’s not about what we talk. It’s how we execute. Our actions are going to speak louder than words.”
Well, then Jerry Jones, what did your son mean?
“I don’t know. It’s a secret.”
