Tight end Jason Witten said the league and union have done a good job getting close to an agreement for HGH testing.
“It’s probably taken a little bit longer than both sides probably wanted it to, but it’s good to get that together and finalized for us,” he said after practice Tuesday.
The league and players union are scheduled to meet Wednesday in Washington, D.C., to talk about an agreement. There is hope that it can be finalized in time to implement testing for this season.
“There’s no room for that in our game. We all understand that,” Witten said. “Doing it the proper way is what it’s all about. You want as level a playing field as you can get. … It’s something that’s coming here pretty soon. We’re seeing it in baseball, a lot’s being made of it. Probably going to be good for the game under the right parameters.”
