Stallone vs Schwarzenegger

Who was the better action hero? Stallone or Schwarzenegger? Neither can act but both were in some great movies.

Honestly, I think Stallone is the better actor. He's an opportunistic fool with his goofy sequels, but he does a better job in serious roles, without the schlock. He was believable in the first Rocky, Paradise Alley, Copland, Get Carter.

Arnold is a way better 'action hero', but he is pretty terrible acting.

Schwarzenegger's better in comedies. Stallone can act, but rarely does.

Stallone has some decent movies.

Demolition Man has always been a favorite of mine.

In general, I'm not a fan of action movies; however, Schwarzenegger action films from the 1980s are the exception.

Predator is one of my all-time favorite movies--though it may not be the best example. It's more of a cross genre film.

Commando is the quintessential Schwarzenegger action film, in my opinion. It's probably my favorite action film of all time due entirely to its utter absurdity and unapologetic jingoism.
