I keep hearing that, is that really his ceiling? Am I the only one not really enamored with Randle El.

I hope not, I hope he is twice the player of Randle El caliber.

Nope, I'm not crazy about his performance and I still believe the deadskins paid way too much for him.

If hes fully recoverd from his injury it will be interesting. Hes a big boy and supposed to be pretty damn fast when healthy. Its wait and see for me.

I thought Randel El was drafted too high by Pittsburgh, and IMO, he was definitely overpaid by Washington.

Of course we all hope Stanback turns out to be a superstar, but if the Cowboys 4th round pick matches Randel El's production, I would think it was a really good draft pick.

The only similarity is that they both played college QB and were asked to switch positions.

Randle-El's strength is his quickness and he lacks elite top end speed. Stanback's strength is his top end speed, despite the erroneous reports to the contrary.

Good post....totally agree

Right now, I'd be thrilled if Stanback turned out like Randel El.

That being said........Randel El isn't all that great.

I'd love to see Stanback turn into another Drew Pearson.....but I'd settle for Randel El.

Randle-El has never done anything worthwhile in this league. He's nothing. If Stanback only becomes a Randle-El, he's a complete bust.

Man, I hope you are joking. Randel El is a solid return man and #3 receiver. No 4th rd draft pick can be considered a bust if he puts up the numbers that Randel El has put up for his career.

Heck, Randel El is not even a bust as a 2nd round pick. Just overpaid.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Just because the Commanders have not utilized him very well does not mean he is "nothing".

I'd take production like he had at Pittsburgh from my fourth round draft choice.

Stanback has the physical ability that he should be a better WR than Randel-El has and will be

it's not etched in stone though

More than likely, Stanback won't even make the team.

Yeah, having a career like Randel El would totally suck compared to that.....

Wanna make a bet?

They drafted a guy that was admittedly raw and had a foot injury. Do you expect him to be cut if he doesn't look 100%? They knew going in he might not be healthy by training camp and had rarely played the position. They're not expecting him to bust out of the gates. He's a project.

Jeff Ireland is in love with the guy. He's about as much a lock on the roster as anyone.
