I think Ferg is quite a useful part of the DL rotation for next year so I wouldn't give him away as we have some sunk costs with him. I would be happy with Miami's fourth rounder. Fifth or lower, I would rather just keep Ferg in our DL rotation.

I'd expect that we would "consider" trading lots of players.

yea but if they're actually talking to Miami...I don't like it. Keep him at NT and let Ratliff take over Spears job!

And on Another note ........ Shouldn't Jerry be discussing this with the GM of the Fins?

I remember Tuna talking about Jason in a PC and talking about his legs and how he was like an old Merc(or some old car) and saying if he choses, because of his legs he doesn't get hurt(lower body i suppose he meant) that the guy could play as long as he wanted. Anyone else remember that PC?

EVERYONE knows who is calling the shots in Miami. Jeff is just there to learn untill BP rides off.

I dont mind trading Ferg. But I would still like to replace him. Take someone lke Shaun Rodgers.

Does anybody know any thing about the cap issues with Shaun Rodgers? I heard rumors can any one confirm!?:bang2:

If Fergy gets traded to the Fins, I look for Tank to rotate with a 1st day draft choice (Red Bryant?), while moving Ratliff to DE to become a starter over Spears

A 5th for him would make me happy!.

IDK, by the time you start adding in all the supplemental picks even by the top of the 5th round, the talent pool is quite diminished.

We are SB contenders and Ferg could be a big part of that. A 5th rounder will likely struggle to make the team and will likely never be a major contributor to offense or defense.

4th round is a whole different story - lots of good depth to be found there usually.

I'm in agreement with those suggesting we need a 4th for Fergy. He really could help the team next year IMO......That said, if we simply need the cap space and have somone who can help MORE in another area in mind, then I understand just getting what you can for him.

I figured Ferguson was done after last year. To get anything in a trade is a windfall. It's like trading Terry Glenn. Hey, maybe a good idea. Someone ring Snyder...

Corey Williams has already been traded from the packers to cleveland and Jason La Canfora is reporting that Stroud has been traded for rogers in detroit. Also Johnathan Vilma is in the process of being traded to New Orleans.

I am curious to see what cleveland gave up. They already are without their 1st round pick.
