Funny how every team wants to trade old broken down players. Problem is you have to have a dance partner.

I'm hearing between a 5th and a 7th. Jerry should hold out for more. Miami has NOTHING on that d-line. Ferguson was instantly become their best interior lineman. I want to see how desperate parcells is to get him. We just can't give him away.

I know Tank is cheaper and younger but I'd rather keep Fergie and trade Tank.
So would I, but it doesn't free up cap room like trading Fergy does. I like the guy, but in a business move, which this clearly is, this makes so much more sense.

I wouldn't trade him for anything less than a 5th and I would make it conditional based on his playing time to maybe move to 4th or so.

Let Miami have Fergusson, cut Glenn already and might as well get rid of Ayodele. Carpenter can play special teams, I mean that sucks that a first round pick is only good as a special teams player but that gives him more value than Ayodele. By tonight I hope we trade for Walker and sign Florence.

How about Fergie for Miami's Taylor straight up? :) Jerry doesn't mind a dancing Cowboy (i.e. E. Smith).

If it's conditional based on playing time, then it would be a 2009 draft pick, and it's not a given that the Dolphins will suck as bad as they did this year.

I would definitely not give up Fergy for a late round pick. Based on Miami's draft I would insist on a 4th or no deal.

Ratliff performed admirably at NT but he is an end in the 3-4 not a nose tackle. We need a true NT and if we trade Fergy we will must draft one, probably first day.

If this trade does happen, is there any chance that Spears would move to NT, so we can take advantage of Ratliff's pass rushing skills at DE. Spears seems to do well against the run, i just don't know how he can handle being doubled in the middle. Tank and Spears can battle it out for the starting spot in the middle.

I'm not suggesting this is what the team should do, just wanted to know what more knowledgeable zoners think about the scenerio.

True, then maybe a 5th this year and a 5th next year.
