The Truth Behind Jessica's Hospitalization

Jessica Simpson's recent hospital stay was triggered by more than just an "infection." A source tells Star the singer was hospitalized after months of hard drinking with beau Tony Romo. Even more shocking, Jess asked for a pregnancy test!

Ashlee Simpson's big sis was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. on March 28 and remained there for four days. Reps for the singer said she was being treated for a "kidney infection," but an insider tells Star it was more than that. Jessica's health problems were "brought on by drinking an obscene amount of alcohol," says the source. "She was treated for a kidney infection, a bladder infection and a urinary tract infection."

Adding to her distress, anxious Jessica asked doctors to give her a pregnancy test! "She was a nervous wreck," says the insider. "She was three weeks late and convinced she was pregnant. She was feeling really weak and really scared. She was unraveling."

Since her divorce from Nick Lachey in 2006, Jessica has dated a string of men, including musician John Mayer. But after hooking up with Dallas Cowboys hunk Tony in November, insiders say her partying and drinking are out of control.

"She used to keep her drinks to a minimum, because she's very conscientious about the calories," says a source. "But Tony and his buddies really party hard, and I think they expect Jessica to keep up with them. But she is like a third of their weight and just can't hold as much as they can."

I have no idea if Tony is a drinker or not. I would hope not or at least that it isn't out of control. But, we have no reason to believe it is.

i dont know much about anything but I do know about 3 weeks ago I had a kidney infection. I guess I had a lingering urinary tract infection and I didnt realize and it spread to my kidney. BY the time I went to the doctor my side hurt so bad I couldnt walk around without pain. Some 14 cipro pills later I am fine...

So I imagine if she had a kidney infection it hurt and maybe people are connecting dots that dont line up.

either way who cares. Romo is dating a celebrity and hanging out in LA, do people think they are attending poetry readings and political rally's?
