Torrin Tucker, I know some of you guys are going to lambase me on this one but this was his original position coming out of college. He was rated the number 2 OG coming out that year then fell for some reason during the draft. The Boys thought because of his good feet and athleticism, they could move him to tackle. We all know how that experiment ended! So I am looking for the boys to give him a shot at guard and take a tackle high in the draft!

silliness, we pay Kyle Kosier 3 million a year. Torrin Tucker should be checking the classifieds for being a greeter at wal-mart.

He's about 40 years too young and his hair ain't blue enough for that.

He better work on those knee bends so he can get down low enough to see thru that drive thru!

I'm really not sure he would be able to figure out the intercom.

I don't see it happening with the signing of Kosier...they are paying him the big bucks to play not stand on the sideline. But I do think Tucker should have been moved back to guard; he has the physical tools to play the position and probably would have made a good one. It could still happen if circumstances allow it but it is not in the plan for now.

repeat after me.

never playted guard at the NFL level. you don't think we would have tried this if he could play there?

his problem is he's got a tackles body but only a guard's skill -- he's a poor fit for both positions. much better to have it the other way around.

I'm with ya K-Dogg, I think Torrin Tucker will give Kosier some competition at LG. He started 10 games last year at the LT spot, moving inside should help him a bit.

Guys, JJT is reporting (among others) that he has heard absolutely nothing overly positive about Kosier.

I'm convinced Kosier is a backup or a really poor starter.

There's still a couple people I wouldn't mind bringing in Neal, McKinney, Metcalf etc. It would be nice to have real competition rather than just starting whoever is healthy.

Jeff Ireland, JJT. JJT, Jeff Ireland. Who to trust?

To be fair, JJT reporting that he's heard nothing or knows nothing should come as no surprise. It's also in direct contradiction to what Adam Schefter--a real reporter--announced prior to the start of FA. Kosier will be a pleasant surprise. I'm curious about how Center is going to play out.

I think Kosier is a high priced backup who will step in and play if anyone gets injured. Gurode will start at LG and Johnson at C.

you guys just don't accept a guy unless you know his name...Kozier IS the starting LG. We didn't sign him to that contract to be a swingman backup player along the line...He didn't sign with the Cowboys, when other teams were also interested in him, to be a backup.

His agent said he was signed to play OG.

Tucker will backup the LT position unless someone beats him out for that...period.

Our starting OL will be:

Adams / Kozier / Johnson&Gurode / Rivera / Fabini

I doubt Tucker even makes the team, let alone starts

he wasnt drafted at all because he was fat, lazy and when scouts roke down his tapes so he was quite overrated...your starting LG is the guy we signed from Detroit

My guess is because guard wasn't our most pressing area of need and we didn't have anyone any better than Tucker to plug in at OT, especially considering his previous starting experience there 2 yrs ago.

While I actually hope that Peterman steps up and takes that spot this year, I do hope that they give Tucker a chance to play OG, at least as a backup. It would increase his "debatable" worth tremendously if he could play OG.

We'd still have Pettiti and Colombo as OT backups and Tucker and Kosier as OG backups.
