Yep... Minnesota has more players in the Pro Bowl... Dallas has no chance. Might as well turn the plane around and call in a forfeit.

That's like a Cowboys fan who idolizes Clint Longley.

Lucas is a lifelong Viking fan, who wore a Tommy Kramer jersey to school everyday until it turned lavender with rainbows ribbons in his hair. By day I am a financial advisor, by night I'm a devoted fan of the Purple, Gophers, and Fighting Irish! I own 4 cat's but Mr Jingles and Dewie buttons are my favorites. I'm currently single but mom say's I'm a catch and one day I'll move out of her basement. SKOL!

Someone explain to me how you can have a 1-2 playoff record while only playing in two games? Is it that hard to do any freakin research? Also, this year has never been more true that we are America's team? The vast majority of "experts" picked us to finish 3rd in the division and NOT make the playoffs.
Seattle, New York, and Philly.

Throughout their storied history, the Dallas Cowboys have been "America's Team." Recently, this has never been more true. Just look to the national media and so-called experts (as Sid would say), who make it sound as if Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin, and Haley are coming to Mall of America Field.

I will give the Cowboys their due respect. They are a hot team, who have won four straight. The streak began when they rolled into the Superdome for a nationally televised game against the undefeated Saints. Dallas proceeded to beat the Saints, stirring the talking heads. Let us not forget, the Saints played their "Superbowl" on November 30th, where they defeated the New England Patriots 38-17. The Aint's have not been the same team since.

The Vikings have added fuel to the Cowboy love affair by floundering down the stretch. I do not know what else to call it. They simply did not show up in Arizona, and showed a lackadaisical approach in Carolina and Chicago when the #1 seed was within their grasp.

Fast forward to Sunday's Divisional Playoff game, which will be the 27th time the Vikings and Cowboys have squared off. The Vikings have three distinct advantages in this matchup, with the first being the quarterback. This will be Favre's 23rd playoff game while Romo will be playing in his third. Favre has eight of his twelve playoff wins at home; Romo managed to get his first playoff win last week. Experience matters. The Vikings went and got Favre for this game, and the next two. I look for the old man to deliver.

The Vikings are simply a more talented team. Pro Bowl selections may or may not be the best indicator of talent (see Bryant McKinnie). With that being said, the Vikings have nine representatives to the Cowboys five. The game comes down to playmakers making plays, and the Vikings simply have more of them: Favre, Peterson, Rice, Harvin, Allen, K. Williams, and Greenway.

The comfy confines of Metrodome provide the biggest advantage in this game. Excluding the 37-point beatdown of the uninterested Giants (I was hoping for 41-doughnut), the Vikings have won by an average of 14 points at home this year. Vegas has made the Vikings a 3-point favorite. As Jimmy the Greek would say, "I like the Vikings by at least 2 field goals in this one."

...i would say this guy should watch more than just Vikings football...

Lets see...Seattle '06, NYG '07, Eagles '10, Vikings '10. That makes Romo's fourth playoff game, not third as the columnist (is he actually one?) suggests.

We have playmakers too.

Romo, Austin, F. Jones, Witten, Crayton, Ware, Spencer, Ratliff, Newman, Jenkins, Choice, Phillips, Alan Freaking Ball.

The Star Tribune articles people have been posting here are really leading me to doubt that it is a serious publication. The articles are comical at best both in their content and construct.

Without Favre, imagine the media trying to hype this game. The only other well-known "superstar" there is AD. Imagine them trying to hype Tavaris Jackson. :laugh1:

They should hype Tavaris Jackson, since he might be playing QB for them by the end of the first quarter.
