Im gonna do one of these each week during the season. Im gonna ask an assortment of questions pretaining to current game, the season as a whole, and the future of the team.

- What do you see the Giants defense focusing on shutting down? The run or the pass

- Can out interior defensive line create enough pressure to make up for a possible lack of edge pressure VS the Giants.

- Who is the matchup nightmare no one is talking about for both teams

- What position(s) of weakness become stronger as the season wears on

- If the top two players on the Cowboys draft board come next Draft are a CB and a Safety, which should the Cowboys pick.

- Do we need to add talent more at RDE or LDE.

- How much will this team need a young, talented WR after the season

Teams game plan to take away your strengths so they will try to shut down the run and force Dak to beat them through the air.

- Can our interior defensive line create enough pressure to make up for a possible lack of edge pressure VS the Giants.
No.

New head coach in his first game versus Garrett. Garrett has to step up as a head coach and show he can win without Romo.

- What position(s) of weakness become stronger as the season wears on
Pass rush, simply because Lawrence and Gregory will show up in a few weeks.

- If the top two players on the Cowboys draft board come next Draft are a CB and a Safety, which should the Cowboys pick.
Hard to tell without knowing what we did in free agency. I have wanted and still want a safety.

- Do we need to add talent more at RDE or LDE.
RDE. It's a game changing position.

- How much will this team need a young, talented WR after the season
Again, depends on free agency. If Williams and Butler leave via free agency, then yes, very much so.

RDE. It's a game changing position.

Again, depends on free agency. If Williams and Butler leave via free agency, then yes, very much so.

Do you think Lawrence can be a 10 sack RDE or do you keep him on the left?

If Williams and Butler both leave who do we have to oppisite Bryant. And are Williams and Butler guys you give a 2nd contract too?

Do you think Lawrence can be a 10 sack RDE or do you keep him on the left?

I think his versatility allows you the option to go BPA. One of my free agent targets for next year would be William Gholston, a 6 foot 6, 280 pound anchor. You get him and move Lawrence to RDE. You land Myles Garrett in the draft then you keep Lawrence at LDE.

They're going to stack the box to stop the run. They'll also disguise coverages while bringing a good number of blitzes and jumping short routes to bait Dak.

Can out interior defensive line create enough pressure to make up for a possible lack of edge pressure VS the Giants.

It sucks because the interior of their line is really the only part of their OL that's decent right now. I don't think it'll be "enough" pressure dimply because they're going WCO and 3 step drops.

Who is the matchup nightmare no one is talking about for both teams

Them putting JPP/Vernon over Free. I think their corners have favorable matchups on our receivers outside of Dez, who they'll probably just shade coverage to whole game. Beasley and Terrance are going to have to play better than they did last year vs NY. Beasley was awful in that first match-up.

I like our zone run scheme against their back 7.

What position(s) of weakness become stronger as the season wears on

DE obviously. I think secondary as well. Jones is an intelligent guy and one of the most athletic guys in the league. Once he gets his footing and guys trust him back there, the while unit will be greater than the sum of its parts.

The higher rated one. And make sure the guy can cover.

I expect it to be a pick in the first 3 rounds. 2ND round always has some talent there, that's where I'd target one. If a stud falls in round 1 and he's BPA, then it's no question. Give me a young guy with legit talent across from Dez.

I think his versatility allows you the option to go BPA. One of my free agent targets for next year would be William Gholston, a 6 foot 6, 280 poind anchor. You get him and move Lawrence to RDE. You land Myles Garrett in the draft then you keep Lawrence at LDE.

Lawrence is a real weapon at LDE. He is a guy middle and lower tier RTs can struggle with in one on one matchups

I don't think both will leave, a lot will happen between now and the end of the season that will dictate if either gets a contract! What if one or both gets a devastating injury? A gazillion variables.

If both perform well, I would offer reasonable contracts to both, and if they reject, draft a replacement or two.

- What position(s) of weakness become stronger as the season wears on- Easy D-line - lawrence and gregory getting back will be huge, people will be talking about our line later this year for sure

Yes. I even think Butler is a candiate for a 1 year deal. Williams is he gets 800-900 yards will probably get overpaid by someone as teams get desperate for proven WRs

I'd rather Safety but they will go corner because of the rookie contract cost of a CB versus the FA cost of a CB.

RDE which is harder to find.

A lot. Dez gets nicked up a lot and I am not sold on anybody else but Beasley.

Stopping the run, and they'll blitz a lot in passing situations to try and rattle Dak.

Pretty much any of their unknowns will have favorable matchups cuz of all the attention we'll have to put on Beckam.

Defensive End

The best CB and Safety available (as long as they're worth the pick).

Don't see WR as a huge need in the immediate future. Nothing more than a 3rd round pick.
