Seems Awuzie, Lewis and Woods were all out with hamstring injuries.

What is the status of the guys going forward? I'd really like to see them get some action this coming Thursday if possible.

I believe they will practice this week and play Saturday. That is, if the Cowboys believe they are pushing for starting spots.

If they do not practice this week and ease into practice next week, I would assume the starters are already determined and the rookies will be used as subs in specific packages once the season begins.

Carroll and Brown and Scandrick are the starters, and slot CB in some form. Jones of course at S along with Heath.
All the rookies will be back ups and a few in the dime and a few special packages. They will be brought along as needed before any are put in as starters.

not concerned here, on the hammy's as they have time to get to 100%. But would like to see them out there getting some reps. As opposed to being out there learning as they go in real games. But overall I think they will be fine.

Well Carroll might be available early.

And he stinks to boot.

Agreed. I'd rather see them eased into playing time rather than rush and have them injured again.

Some might voice concern about the lack of turnovers generated by the secondary so far in preseason; I'm not one of them. Turnovers will come once all the DBs are healthy and working in their designated packages.

I heard somewhere that Lewis' was really pulled badly. Might be a while.

Are hammy's contagious? Who the hell is our strength and conditioning coach? Fire him! Let's get people on the field.
This is a problem around the league.

The CBA doesn't allow the trainers to work with these guys much at all. They simply aren't ready for the grind of preseason like the veterans are, and even with vets, they have to prepare largely on their own.

Injuries didn't happen this often 30 years ago. It's a combination of preparation and PEDs.

I would expect several of the "hamstring" bunch to practice this week. Time is getting short for them to have any impact as far as setting the lineup for the start of the season. I'm sure they understand they need to be out there.
Yeah they need to get out there, the way Noah Brown hits they might give him a job playing atrong safety !!!

Garrett is very conservative on injury issues and quadruple conservative on hamstring injuries after the Miles Austin era.

Lewis didn't practice today.

He's got quite the hamstring strain being out this long.

It's the cancerous culture Parcells told you about.
