Steelers vs Texans Monday Night (Final Wildcard Game)

Pedo St did not make this years natty
Pitt Panthers did not make this years natty
Steelers are out of the playoffs
Philly are out of the playoffs.

High Five, Very Nice

Stroud is arguably the worst quarterback in the play offs.

It will be interesting how it plays out - will they be first team since Denver and Peyton to win a Superbowl with a good defense and a quarterback not playing at an elite level in at least one post season game?

He's more like Trent Dilfer most of the time. This defense is very much like that ravens defense.

Imagine their defence with Dak. We COULD have had that if Jerry signs our key guys early instead of "letting the tea leaves fall where they may". We could have had them years earlier and a lot more cap space. We could have brought in a Danielle Hunter. We could have brought in others like that. But nooooo, we'll just take Taco Charlton instead if TJ Watt. We'll take Mazi Smith like a bunch of morons. We will just procrastinate and piss off our best players only to either make it more expensive. Oh, and think Pickens won't demand a lot? Especially considering the agent that Jerry pissed off? Yeah, good job Jerry. Nobody can do the job you do!!
Exactly

Stroud is only eligible for new deal when this season is over. He’s going to be looking for significant money.
Seems all NFL teams pay big for their starters. Heck look at all these mediocre QBs getting paid 40 to 50 mil , Daniel Jones got a 160 mil for 4 years and now he is gone

They are putting a whipping on the Steelers. They are destroying them.
They scored all of 10 points the first 48 minutes of that game. Then a defensive score. Pittsburgh quit in that 4th; you could see them give up. The offense plays like that again; they're going home.

The Texans would be stupid to not let Stroud play out his contract and prove himself

Their next opponent is New England, did you see them the other night? Equally as bad on offense, and this was at home. Houston can easily win that game and if you made me choose, I'd lean Houston.

This is what a great defense allows, room for error on offense. Something Dallas has never had in the playoffs. When has our defense played that smothering in the playoffs? You'd have to go back decades.

The Texans destroyed the Steelers. They took away their will. This Texan team could go all the way.

By a significant margin, in fact. Marino failed at the end of games a lot.
Just curious, not a challenge or anything, Are you old enough to have watched him? I am and used to watch him play. I have never seen a QB do what he did.

Yes, even saw him play in college. Drafted in perhaps the most amazing QB draft of all time.

Like Rodgers, Marino could flick the ball with little effort downfield on a rope. Their releases are the quickest I've seen among truly elite quarterbacks.

Marino had some flaws though. He couldn't throw shorter routes with the touch that Rodgers did, and he could hit those passes just over the linebacker and in front of the safety like Rodgers (just like Romo could throw those whereas Aikman couldn't).

Marino's biggest problem was his ego. He absolutely refused to allow a running game to balance the offense. Miami would draft running backs for him to ease up the pressure, and it seemed to tick him off. He'd change the plays in the huddle out of running plays. He wanted the ball in the air all the time, and I believe that's why the guy never won a Super Bowl. He and Jimmy used to bark at each other over that.

Cold weather in the playoffs always stopped him because he couldn't throw effectively, and the Dolphins weren't practiced enough in the run game for those those conditions. They typically ended their seasons with a whimper in the cold.

He also might have been the biggest garbage-time stat guy of all time.

New England scored 490 pts in the season so calling their offense terrible is frankly unsupported by evidence

I saw. They did struggle. Both good defenses, but i give Texans the edge. Whichever offense (QB) plays better will win.
