Stephen A Smith: I'm back to eat crow

Did you have T.O. on your show?

Stephen A Smith: Yes I did

Stephen A Smith: The Eagles and Cowboys were playing and he played for both teams, so I wanted to get his opinion

You are a Philadelphia Homer

Stephen A Smith: No I am not, I am from NY.

But you worked in Philadelphia

Stephen A Smith: I have worked in Philadelphia but I have worked in NY too

Stephen A Smith: The teams in Philadelphia and New York would never call me homers based on what I have said about them

Stephen A Smith: I'm eating crow. I was very disgusted with Cowboys for letting T.O. go so I made an emotional prediction. I thought Terrell Owens should be here instead of Roy Williams. I didn't think the Cowboys would step up with Wade Phillips and Tony Romo's history. I thought the Eagles would step up but they didnt. The Cowboys, especially the Defense stepped up.

Who is Terrell Owens friends with?

Stephen A Smith: Not Tony Romo and not Jason Witten

How is T.O.?

Stephen A Smith: He was in L.A. and now in Atlanta, where he lives

Vikings?

Stephen A Smith: I like the Cowboys but going to hold up until Friday, so you guys can't crucify me. Adrian Peterson has had fumblitis the last few weeks. I think Brett Favre can hurt the Cowboys and help them. I think it is going to be a tough fight. I want to see if the Cowboys can throw on the Vikings, but not sure they can run on them.

I think it is absolutely fantastic that owens doesnt like romo and witten.

That is spectacular. Austin-romo-witten are all really tight and it shows.

I just love that he doesnt like romo and witten.

Wow. How embarrassing!

Then, in his last sentence, he can't help himself to try to delegitimize what the offense did (and thereby Romo) by saying "especially the defense." I'm not saying the defense doesn't deserve extra praise, but so does the offense. After all, they held the ball for 40 minutes two weeks in a row. It was pure domination.

Terrell Owens deserves everything he gets.

Personally, I never thought he should have been signed in the first place. I was very disgusted by some Cowboys fans trying to blame all of Terrell Owens' trouble on the 49er's and Eagles Organizations when it was clear who the common denominator was in each of these meltdowns.

I bet he just hates the fact that we destroyed so many demons the Season after he left.

One of my friends actually hung out with Miles this past week and said that he is a real cool dude and just a normal guy.

TO has never liked a QB that he played with. He doesn't like Witten because Witten made plays when he couldn't. Witten was more reliable so he got the ball while TO couldn't get off the press coverage.

As for Smith, he was an EPIC FAIL for ESPN's TV network. Which is why he lost his job. His mistake is, he tries to play to a niche market, but ESPN can't use that. They need all-encompassing ratings, not just a niche market for their show.

What makes it worse is, while attempting to cater to that market, he creates a racial divide and alienates the rest of ESPN's audience to the point that they don't like him and refuse to watch him. ESPN in return lost market share and so they cut TV ties with him.

Niche markets are for small firms. Mega media outlets need mass appeal. If they do a niche show, it won't be on their bread and butter stage. Funny thing is, while he lost his show, ESPN was showing Pro Bowling Tour yesterday! :laugh2:

His new morning show on Fox sports radio is a horrible, it won't be long before it's cancelled.

sounds like TO and Smith have a lot in common,,, their method in acquiring allies/viewers requires demonizing other people...

Tony took the high road again in the interview with the local station that's posted in another thread. Unless something happened behind the scenes that we don't know about, TO's got some serious emotional problems.

It'd be interesting to know Tashard Choice's take on Tony Romo at this point in the season to see if it has changed at all.

Not sure if the Cowboys can run on them? Why? Dallas has run well against the best of defenses. And the Vikings best DT is now playing with a bum elbow of late, and their best defender, their MLB - their leading tackler by far and their defensive captain - is lost for the year. If the Bears can run all over the Vikings with a single backup-RB pretending to be a starter, then I don't think Dallas will have any problem running on these jammokes with their 3-headed monster.
