Stephen: I think you're going to see 3 DTs on the field quite a bit

I don't hate the idea. Seattle ran a big strongside DE for years and it worked well. I would assume Osa would fill that role unless they're really planning on running 5-man fronts. All of a sudden the DL has a diverse variety of combinations to fit specific situations. I'm having my doubts that Eberflus can capitalize, but maybe he proves me wrong.
That was a 3-4 front. 5-2 doesn’t work in the modern NFL, but you can’t get any worse than we have been.

I don't believe they're going fire Flus, Jerry said as much, he's not going to subject theta to a 4th different DC
Ratliff was a beast. I liked another guy we had, but he literally went the cannabis activist route. David Irving. That guy had untapped talent. Just never fully realized it.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan while talking about the trade for DT Quinnen Williams: "Everybody was totally on board with making the trade. Obviously it came at a price. But we think that Quinnen is not only going to be a big time help to our defense this year but for years to come."

On how quickly the deal came together: "(The Jets) had always known, going back to our previous trade with Micah (Parsons), that we had interest in Quinnen. They knew we were aware. The finality (of those trades) come together quickly, but usually it's because you've been visiting and throwing things around for days."

Jones when asked how often we're going to see all three DTs (Williams, Kenny Clark, Osa Odighizuwa) on the field at the same time: "I think you're gonna see it quite a bit."

I really am excited about this lineup. I think it can make a difference with our D. I’m a big fan of finding ways to get the best players on the field and keeping the not so good players (Murray and our LBers) off the field. I would like 5 down linemen and Overshown and Wilson at LBers and then our secondary. I don’t think our secondary is very good so pressure and sacks will be the primary line of defense in the passing game. I’m hoping to see this against Geno and the Raiders. Geno is a good QB to test this new alignment on because if we screw it up Geno might help us out with his bad play anyway. Or if our secondary can’t handle it then Geno is a good Guinea pig because he’s not good.

Yeah David Irving hurt as far as losing a talented player for a stupid reason. He was good but didn’t care about football. Someone should have told him “hey David you know if you ball out you’ll get a multi year deal and that can buy a lot of weed in retirement.”

I've been saying this but I don't work for the boys so let's not really announce it. My real question is how often are we running the 5-2? How does eberflus mix in blitz packages and how different does that look. How will he use over shown and revel?

Does any other team is sports history around the entire globe allow the son of the owner have a regular interview spot on their local sports media?

Any team? Ever? On the entire planet?
Steelers do it all the time. There are three or four Rooneys who do radio bits regularly.

Want to talk about nepotism, the entire front office of the Steelers is packed with Rooneys.

Hopefully he's been working something up I think the Ariz was a preview. We had 5 sacks that game but Dak didn't have a very good game IMO and the back half of the defense looked liked kids playing chasing butterflies. Hoping that Wilson Overshown with Bland helps that out. We shall see.

That helps explain why the Steelers haven't won in 18 years and to my knowledge haven't won a playoff game in 8 years.

Hell, right now anything different sounds promising lol. Let's roll

I mean, I understand that sentiment and principal. But that's a lot of money to walk away from.

I am thinking they use Osa as a base run stopping DE since Fowler and Sam Williams aren't getting it done. Then the DT's are obviously Clark and Quinnen Williams.

Be quiet!

You just keep talking man!

Let the other team figure that out
