We'll be okay with Dak. Like Stephen said, the team really responds to him and he (along with Elliott) can do a lot of damage on the ground. That is going to open things up in the passing game way more than it is for most rookies.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing the future.
Exactly. I wanted Romo to play every down, but now that it's not a reality, I am excited to see how Dak can do. I think some folks are gonna be surprised.

6-10 weeks. Why is anyone even assuming he is going to be back this season? He's not.

We've actually waited a LOT longer than that but hey, they are still making huge money regardless. The Jones' don't really care deep down. If they did, they'd hire a real GM who would actually build a team with solid backup QB's. Not Kellen Moore or 'Golden' Showers. It's a joke. JJ just treats it as his own personal fantasy team and we won't win diddly poo on a stick as long as he keeps meddling.

lmao, that was great!

Lol He probably believes Romo has 5 years left also

He doesn't. It would just be a major faux pas to say anything to the effect of, "Yes, I believe he'll retire." Any retirement announcement will be left up to Tony. I personally would not blame him if he just hung up his cleats right now and focused on getting better and enjoying his life as a rich man. I don't think he will do that, however. I think he'll work hard to come back and will play in games this season, if physically able, then retire at the end of the season. IMO that's the most likely scenario, but a GM or owner cannot steal a player's thunder regarding a retirement announcement.

No. He's turned weird. He's gone vegan and political. I actually think a good backup for Dak could be Mike Vick.

You left out stupid, self-absorbed and petulant.

Seriously, plenty of pro athletes have spoken out on social issues without conflating them to be the fault of the entire United States. He's a moron.

That is precisely how I feel on the matter. Dak is just a winner, and to me it is going to be fascinating to watch what happens.

Prescott will undoubtedly have some bad games but he is also going to have some nice one's too and his running is always going to give defenses fits. Throw in his OL and Easy E along with Dez, Beasley, Witt, etc. and he has a real chance to win some games.

Hell, even Cassell and Weeden almost sqeaked out several wins and I think this year the coaches have a better feel for what to do (and not to do) with Romo missing from the lineup.

So hell yeah... I can't wait to see what happens.

Everything I have read from those who have been around Jerry including coaches through all his hirings, none agree with your statement.

It's possible we are entering a new Dak era now.
The Rams are facing that new era.
Philly is. Titans are one year into it.
On and on and those teams have professional GM's.
Yours is a lame and tired mantra but of course others want to believe it too.

We are going to see a lot of 8 man fronts and a lot of blitzing. We have to stay the course and keep trying to run, but Dak's mobility will be helpful. We have a solid OL and a couple guys with really sticky hands....Dez, Beasley and Witten. Throw Elliott in there too as a good pass catcher and he showed his pass pro the other night.

Yep, Elliott should be hell on dumpoffs from Dak. He is going to hurt some teams that blitz when Dak just tosses it to him short and lets him run.

It really isn't going to be an easy offense to defend with Prescott's ability to run the ball. That is going to be a whole lot for defensive coordinators to worry about.
