Yup. The season starts two weeks from now, so Week 8 is ten full weeks of recovery and only 7 games of the season.
"Only 7 games of the season"?
Only?

You saying he's done over and over again doesn't make him so. He's almost certainly going to return this year and play so you may as well just start dealing with it now. The team will have to take a serious look at how effective he can still be going forward after this year, but their fate is tied to him in 2016 (unless Dak ends up being a fluke of near biblical proportions).
That doesn't really jibe with what Jerry has said (I know, I know)... his quote is "This is nowhere near the issue he had last year (clavicle), not even in the same league as far as we're concerned." He missed 8 games I believe last year, so I don't know how what Jerry said would add up with him missing basically the same time.
stephen jones on dak: "we're not naive to think a rookie qb can do what he's done in the preseason, but he makes our team feel good."
This sounds to me like they want to get a vet and start him over Dak !! lol if they do that I will be angry.
I know jerry doesnt trust players that havent played actual season games.
The seattle game was like a season game for 1 half, so I think Dak showed he could handle it.
I think they are afraid to start game one with Dak or they would have said he is the starter already??
So what we may get is another cassel starting wk 1 having no time in the system or with WR etc.
A premium DT or DE in the first. Uber athletic pass catching TE in the second. Solid LB in the third. CB/S hybrid in the fourth.
After disrespecting this country he can stay away.Kapernick very well could come available.
Really....ever the optimist. All will work out, the Cowboys will have a good year !!!
One QB I don't want here. After disrespecting this country he can stay away.
Hes an athlete so i couldnt care less what he has to say. He can stay away because hes awful. After disrespecting this country he can stay away.

By sitting down during the national anthem. There are better ways to deal with the culture problem at hand. How did he disrespect the country?
I would say blasting it in a commentary to explain himself would say that. There are smarter, better ways he could express his "outrage".How did he disrespect the country?
If the Cowboys say 6-10 weeks, we all know that's at LEAST 12 weeks.
Another top 5 pick.
http://sportsday.***BANNED-URL***/d...-rookie-dak-prescott-will-open-season-starterThat's what I'm worried about now. Some stupid, bull**** panic move to bring in somebody. Prescott has looked great in this preseason, give him his chance.
If you want to sign a vet backup off of waivers, I'm fine with that. Just don't panic and give up resources when it won't make a difference anyway.
certainly disappointing but I think it's going to be different with Dak this time. With this staked offense, I think he can win some games. Will be interesting if we find ourselves 5-1 or 4-2 with Dak playing well and it's time for Tony's return.Another year and the same old ****.
I'm with you. I'm bummed out about Romo but we should still be excited about the offense with Dak. The guy has shown that he can stand in there and deliver the ball. Seattle was not playing Vanilla defenses against him. I know he'll have some rookie mistakes but he's got playmakers all around him. At least it's not last year where we knew we had no chance because of the backup QBWe'll be okay with Dak. Like Stephen said, the team really responds to him and he (along with Elliott) can do a lot of damage on the ground. That is going to open things up in the passing game way more than it is for most rookies.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing the future.
We'll get through this quickly means rushing Romo back. Same as last year.
