I only sign our punter, Kearse and Hooker (2 years cheap deal if possible).

    DLaw post June 1 cut.
Trade Cooper for Ridley or keep him.
If we can get Shultz at Jarwins money we keep him but cut Jarwin and draft a TE. If he’s too costly let him go and get the compensation pick.
LVE, Gallup (unless super friendly deal), Williams, Gregory, any other Garrett player goes. Maybe sign Carlos Watkins and go to a 3-4 with Osi at LDE, Gallimore NT, Hill RDE. Draft a LB/DE across Parson to rush the passer as well.
Next year cut Zeke and draft even up to the 2nd round this year a RB like Walker III this year. We need the run to work no matter what next year.

Dak is the only tough contract by next year and he’s the QB. No more restructures. Draft and get FAs like we did last year for depth. Tell me how the cap isn’t fixed with it increasing now?

I have to think he will be. If nothing else, he brings power and a brawler’s mentality to a line that’s become far too finesse.

    I loved him at UTEP.

He's really been right in the middle of NYs OL problems though.

    Penalty problems as well.

I think that Biadasz and McGovern are probably backup types, so what we need is a starter in at least one of the LG/C spots, and the only way that's happening is in the draft, and probably early in it.

Hernandez isn't a starter on a good team.

His ‘slide’ exactly corresponded with Jason Garrett’s arrival, just like Daniel Jones’s did.

    This from PFF:

“Hernandez didn’t face much of a pass-protection learning curve while making the jump from UTEP to the NFL in 2018. He closed out his rookie and sophomore seasons with a two-year pass-blocking grade that tied for 23rd among 84 qualifying guards.”

    That could be yeah.

I could tell you that he was pretty bad in some games I've seen and the local sentiment is good riddance. He is the Connor Williams of NY.

Either way I see him as a backup and I think we are currently starting backup types, and the need is for starter types, so I don't see a Hernandez fit.

Although it may be my opinion much more than some others that the main problem (on the field anyway) in Dallas is the LG and C spots.

They just got blown up or flagged excessively and that coincided with the offense, and consequently the team, heading south after ATL.

Funny how people view things sometimes. Biadasz was enemy #1 around here early in the season when he would have a bad snap or two, or get pushed back in pass protection.

I studied him closely at the time and he was winning most plays in the run game.

Then...somehow, suddenly.....he was getting crushed in the run game routinely (supposedly his strength) yet no one around here made as big a deal of it.

Probably because their fantasy players were seen as a bigger problem.

I was a big fan and supporter but I think he is more of a problem with this team than people are talking about.

Sorry for the Edith Bunker tangent!

In my opinion, that’s marginalizing him using a broad brush and failing to look at each season of his career. Looking at his playing in 2018 and 2019, he was a quality starter. His downward trajectory came with the change to Garrett’s offense. That’s verifiable.

I don’t think you’ll find much disagreement on that.

No apologies needed for caring enough to pay close attention.

Thats another one that’s tough for me to figure out. Philbin’s line went from dominating to start the season to being a liability at the end.

Were you around for the fall out after drafting Travis Frederick? It's funny what we think we know.

The Cowboys don’t trade. Amari will be cut for making Jerry’s QB look bad

It was pretty night and day from Denver on. We still managed to have success in general against crap teams, but when good teams used the recipe we fell apart in every conceivable way offensively.

Zeke was looking stellar and even getting the edges. Dak looked like a field general, picking his shots. Kellen Moore looked like the next genius coordinator. Then it all came crashing down with a simple adjustment. What the hell else happened?

My own opinion is that teams stopped respecting our downfield game and started pressing everything. And we failed to adjust and make them pay for that and back off.
