I am paraphrasing here because I can't remember the exact quote but Stephen Jones was interviewed about Dak and he reported, "Obviously on where we are today, I would not trade him for any of the qbs that were taken before him including those in the first round." Cowboys really lucked out Dak and I hope he continues to improve and lead us to many SB victories.

There was no luck whatsoever. He was on their radar the entire time and they correctly assessed his draft stock. They attempted to get other QBs and that didn't work out. That's happens in every draft to every team. No team gets every single player they target so they have to move on to others.

Dak has revived the entire franchise.. We'd be staring at 2-5 or worse without him given our circumstances with a replay of most likely rushing an injured Romo back too early.
You give way to much credit to Dak when we all know it is the o-line and Zeke that should get most of the credit.

Well, he couldn't name anyone if he did think a QB is better.

Prescott is the road ahead. He just needs NFL experience and there is only one way to get it. Play. With this improbable kid the club could be looking at a SB run next year. Get him a little defensive help and its off to the races. Havent been able, confidently, to even think that for 20+ years.

You're right. Matt Cassel and Brandon Weeden would be 6-1 with that line. Oh wait. And as for Zeke any RB can run behind that line. That's what I was told when we got rid of Murray.

How do you get Weeden and Cassel being just as good as Dak from the idea that Dak gets too much credit?

After that showdown with Wentz it is clear Dak would be the number 1 pick today

H.R....you got this right!

then...fumbled.

Romo has been a top QB and we've been close to having the support pieces several times in the past decade.

Even though Wentz played better (but not that great)? I think the Jones' might be one of the few, if not only, clubs to take Dak first.

And Risen wouldn't even draft him.

Eh, at some point we should cut Risen some slack. Sure he was wrong, but pointing it out in every Dak related posting is just over kill now. I hardly even see him posting anymore.

We would probably be lucky tone .500 with Sanchez starting.

They're 7-1 with Dak.
That's the only certainty we have...which is a pretty sweet certainty to have!

But with the coaches deciding in the offseason to take the gloves off play-calling wise if Romo went down again and especially with the upgrade of Zeke from Randle/DMC, and the improved defense, I think Dallas is 5-3 or so with Sanchez right now. Maybe better, maybe worse.
