The Chargers under Coryel with Dan Fouts at QB had two receivers and a TE with a thousand yards in a season.

The WR's were Charlie Joiner and Jon Jefferson and the TE was Kellen Winslow Sr.

All three were selected 1st team All Pro.

Remember that.......Jon Jefferson is a name you seldom hear about but was a damn good WR.

Take comfort that the long-standing 'anchor' that was holding the team back has finally been tossed overboard.

You mean when everyone's hero and known football savant Stephen Jones told us that their numbers showed they don't really need a true #1 WR?

A gM that doesn't own the team might have caught some flak for that call..... "yeah its the owner come see me in my office, and bring that red headed idiot with you"

The Houston Oilers with Warren Moon and their Run and Gun offense in 1991 came up 4 yards short of having three WR;s with thousand yard seasons. Ernest Givens had 996 yards. Haywood Jeffries and Drew Hill each had over a thousand.

As for the Rams, they never came close, mostly due to Issac Bruce and Tory Holt combining for over 3000 yards.

The Saints came up 18 yards short in 2012 when TE Jimmy Graham had 982 yards.

The challenge confronting the three Cowboy WR;s is the number of passes thrown to Zeke. You can also expect Blake Jarwin to get a significant number of receptions.

Then again, the Cowboys were awfully close last season.

Is it possible to have THREE 1000 yards WRs in a season? Trying not to put the cart before the horse, but I can't imagine ANY defense stopping ALL three for an entire game.

He better go watch Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Butch Johnson, and Golden Richards from 1977-1982. The Tight ends were Billy Joe Dupree, and Doug Cosbie.

Pearson and Hill set the standard back in 1978 with two 1,000yd WRs in a season, one +1000 yd rusher, and a Pro Bowl TE.

More important is they had the team success to go with the stats; 2 Super Bowls, 6 NFC East Championships and 5 NFC Championship games in 6 years. No one entered the season with just stats on there minds...only one goal of winning Championships.

In the immortal words of KRS One to Stephen Jones...You Must Learn!

You're right, our special teams and defense should of gotten us to the super bowl... It's still hard to believe we failed Garrett and our amazing coaching staff either.. what a pity we didn't take advantage
Sarcasm???

It's not just about how many passes the wr's catch. It also matters if they're taking heat off the run game. In the end, a balanced attack works best.

Kool Aid’s flowing strong, have a receiver that doesn’t show up in road games and another guy who hasn’t even played a snap in the NFL and we suddenly have the best trio in the league and possibly ever

Lets tap the breaks a touch. I'm excited too, but Lamb hasn't played a single down of NFL football.

Want to hold it up to a gold standard, lets talk about Randy Moss, Chris Carter and Jake Reed on the Vikings. That was insane, and yet, no ring.

Clearly the potential exists this might be the best accumulation of wr's on any team ever. There have been some phenomenal twosomes, but i can't recall any threesomes as good. (No double entendre intended).

Take 2 college freshmen WRs and add either prime years Jerry Rice or Mike Irvin or Randy Moss and you've got the best trio of WRs of any team in 2020...
