Stephen: Pickens is "fired up" about getting the tag placed on him

"Fired up"? Meaning what? Irate? Elated? I doubt he loves it.
"Fired up" meaning he's ready to get busy being a Cowboy.
Wasn't a negative thing said in that interview.
Stephen said they got the offense set with Pickens as a complement to Lamb, J. Williams back and the offensive line. Now, they got to fix the defense and they'll be in contention.
Cited the Seahawks and Patriots as examples of quick turnarounds and believes it can happen for the Cowboys too.

I can't blame Pickens. Despite all those worried about him rebelling against the tag, knowing that you are going to make at least $28 million for a year in the NFL has to be somewhat comforting. It doesn't mean he doesn't want a long-term deal, just that he knows he's in great shape for the next year.

If “fired up” is a positive (I refuse to listen to that clown), it’s the right move.

He will make 28m fully guaranteed and will have nice stats with Dak. He will hit the market again at age 26 and get a deal that Dallas can’t afford.

But let’s allow more “leaves to fall”

YOU GET FIRED UP ABOUT A BIG first down catch, you get fired up about a touchdown, who the hell does this for a franchise tag, let's see how fired up they both are in a few months if things go sour!
