It's just his stick... he claims now to have lots of respect for Bill Parcels, but he was one of his biggest critics, when he was here.

I had no problem with Steve Dennis prior to this incident, though I'm not local and don't listen to him unless it's a clip posted on this board. I think he originally just got caught up in the local feeding frenzy and went overboard with a stupid question when he should have backed off and rephrased. But since this episode happened, he's really not handling things well. The blame-the-big-bad-media angle might win him support from the local hacks, but it sure makes him look like a total chump.
In the end, it'll probably help his ratings, but at the cost of some dignity. Not a good trade in my book.

I didn't like the snarky tone in his voice in the interview he did for the San Diego station. He's backpedalling to the Dallas fans and patting himself on the back with the enemy.
His colleagues are predictably rallying around him, but any way you slice it, Dallas falling apart is a better story for them than Dallas coming together. What's going on locally is transparent and really annoying to watch.
I hope the fans end up behind the team rather than behind the press. It kind of feels like that's which way it's working this week. A win Sunday would sure help.

Your coach should never call the team losers unless it's like he's taking over a team that went 3-13 the year before he got there.
He badgered Wade into trying to get him to call them losers and then tried to spin it. The original act of badgering Wade screamed that he was a hack and then his damage control was even worse. The line that came word-for-word out of Dennis' mouth that's in my sig speaks volumes.

I feel it's a case of forced immersion into the Cowboys' News for name recognition, publicity & stature. Everyone in radio talked about it yesterday.

Besides being a glory-all jerk....here is more background on Dennis:
He's from Cincinnati and graduated from Ohio St.
He did a lot of radio work for Kansas St.
His sports growing up were basketball, golf, and baseball...no football background really....but he is 6'4.
I pretty sure he's a Reds and Bengals fan.

The odd thing is, THIS TEAM with this exact roster and coaching staff, has never lost a playoff game and is currently 8-4. So they are in NO WAY losers.

I actually like Steve Dennis because he has interesting perspectives on GAC and usually asks good questions to the Cowboys Coach.
Im actually glad he said what he said because im interested in see'ing if this team responds.
I dont think he is a bad guy by any means though and he is really one of the least guys Cowboy fans should worry about in the media.
