Oh imagine the absolute terror amongst the Patriot fanbase if the Colts beat the Patriots. Oh how I would absolutely love such a situation. For them to be setting all these records, to be gearing up on offense just to beat the Colts, and the Colts beat them anyways.

Good times. :)

basically Emmitt and the other dude with the goofy eyes were saying "its the most important game of the season" "yadda blah" and Steve kept responding it doesn't have the attmospher of the games between 49ers and Dallas"

That's because the Niner/ Cowboy rivalry of the nineties pitted the two best teams of the Super Bowl era against one another.

I think the Colts will beat the Patriots, I ain't totally sold that NE's defense is as good as the Colts defense. I think the Colts can hold NE's offense down just enough for Manning and Co. to take care of bidness. JMO.:)

I agree, my personal power rankings, for lack of a better term are:

1.) Colts
2.) Cheats
3.) Boys
4.) Giants
5.) Jags
6.) Packers
7.) Steelers
8.) Chargers
9.) Commanders
10.) Seahawks

You'd put the Commanders in the top 10?

Other than the Cowboys games, that's the only other game I can't wait to see in the regular season. Should be a blast to watch.:)

By default, who else the Cardinals? The Lions? They beat them both.

Steve Young was coming across as an arrogant *** though. Emmitt, who by the way sounded better tonight than he has yet, not a stutter or an umm in his arguments. Young just kept harping on how the game means nothing, that it is only the AFC Championship game that will matter, while Emmitt was trying to explain that the team who wins has a huge advantage when they meet again knowing that they have already beat them once, Steve Young replied with how the 9ers beat the Cowboys during the regular season and then how it didn't help them win the championship game... blah.. blah..

Emmit kept going back to how it matters to the players, and then Stuart Scott said well wouldn't it matter for home field advantage at which point Young just said fine I am getting it from both sides, I give up you are right.

I always respected Young's play on the field, but as an announcer, while his diction is good, his attitude is just terrible. I want to smack him in the mouth when he gets off on one of his rants. Either way, I thought Emmitt was going to jump up and slap him, he looked like he was getting pissed off as well. I think it is only a matter of time before Young gets called out one time too many and just walks off.

Phew..... ok there is my crappy recap from memory...lol

This game will be for homefield and Indianapolis will be much better suited at home than on the road should they win.

By the way does anyone know where the regular season contest will be?

The Colts have a very fast defense. It's not like the Patriots out-physical people on offense, they outrun people. I think the Colts matchup decently well. Plus, they have Manning.

I really couldn't care less about Steve Young's opinions or any other analylist. They don't have any more clue about what's gonna happen than me, you, or anybody else. They're all just blowin' hot air. Who care's what they think or say, it doesn't matter.:)

Lots of concussions, it makes qb announcers into the type that must be taken with a great deal of salt, large grains.
