This is a complete mystery to me, and I was wondering what you guys think. We're more intense on the road, more relaxed and just seem to play better. Maybe the weight of expectations at home causes this? Luckily Romo and TO aren't real bothered by it, but the rest of the team just seems tight. Been going on for a few years with this group: ESPECIALLY on defense. So what gives?

Not sure, maybe they take a deep breath.

Yesterday they played exactly like we did against minnesota and washington has a superior team and qb to minnesota.

Our offense came out a little out of sync and then the defense was confused on and off the field all day.

One more thing, the weather was tremendous yesterday, the turf is fast and it is a great place to throw the football. I think that has something to do with it.

That is one of the reasons I am even more worried about favre.

no question theebs. we'll get torched a la the N.England game if we play like that again. Our front seven has to pick it up, because if we don't get a good, CONSISTENT pass rush: like the Pats and Skins games well......it isn't going to be pretty, because our secondary has well documented "issues."

Our offense was not out of sync, Gurode was. It only takes one unfocused player to mess it up and Gurode was it. He cost us 3-10 points in the first half!

We're better on the road than at home. Romo is better outside the pocket than inside. Our offense full of UDFAs is better than our defense full of #1 picks. Up is down. Left is right.

they were getting plays in late, they had to take a timeout after the 2 minute warning because they let the playclock expire.

They were out of sync just like the minnesota game, guys were not focused.

How many UDFAs are on offense?

Just two, unless you count Hurd. And for some reason I thought Kosier was undrafted (he was a 7th rounder).

I think we just relaxed for this game. The players saw this tough three-game stretch and thought, we won the two tough ones, so surely we'll win the easiest of the three at home.

I've noticed over the years that often when a fanbase is taking a team too lightly (guaranteeing blowouts, looking two games ahead, etc.), the team often is, too. It's not that we cause it; it's that the players are seeing the same things fans are.

But the other team doesn't always cooperate, like the Skins didn't yesterday.

The last two weeks the offense has been right up against the play clock. They weren't like that in the first portion of the season. There would be plenty of time to get the snap off. Now it looks rushed often. Two of the TD passes you could see Romo rushing to get the ball snapped. The play calling is just not getting done as quick as it was to start the season.

Is Hoyte the second one? I can't remember.

He seemed distracted. Not sure what that was all about.

Yeah. Romo, Hoyte, and Hurd. Crayton and Kosier are 7th rounders.

Its weird, I feel better about the teams chances to win when there on the road VS playing a home game

I think all of the substituting and changing at the line of scrimmage has something to do with that though.

I think the plays are there, its just alot of moving parts and motion and changing plays.

I agree. Just the whole pace of the offense seems different now. Probably because teams are showing different looks to Romo. It is still working, but I prefer when things aren't so rushed.
