He's interviewed on WFAN every week...and he's pretty much articulate and well spoken...

And I applauded the way he handled being asked about Burress...he didn't pull punches.

BUT...an answer other than "If I have anything to say to Burress, I'll say it to him in private" invited EXACTLY what happened.

And he KNOWS that because he's dealt with the NY media for years.

Shame on him.

Yep, the media can be scum...but he already knows that.

I think he's contracted for that show only, so doesn't grant interviews to other guys on WFAN.

And he didn't even come close to "tearing him up"....His words, "I don't quite understand what his lack of motivation is in those types of situations. But I'm going to try to see what it is and if I can talk to him about it. He's too good for that."

Pretty mild if you ask me. Hell Owens popped off more about Vanderjagdt being cut.

What Strahan did that was wrong, way wrong, was the way he confronted the reporter who spoke to Burress.

Well, that entire team does a LOT of talking...especially for a team that hasn't won anything.

I was ok with him saying what he did about Burress...Burress has done it time after time...If a reporter asked me, after saying "No comment" or trying to sugar coat it, I'd say it straight out..."Yep, I think he dogged it and Yep, I'm going to talk to him about it."

That happens to be the truth. EVERYONE in NY knows it.

BUT...having said that, then Strahan shouldn't go off the way he did.

For me, the original comment was ok...because this isn't the first time Burress has done that.

But the way Strahan dealt with the ESPN reporter afterwards was a disgrace.
