I just have to say I agreed with the Cowboys decision last week going for it at the goal line. But I was screaming at the TV and knew it was a mistake as soon as they ran the play. Stupid play call in my opinion. The decision to go for it was good but the play was stupid at best.
Hindsight is 20/20 and I hate to be an armchair quarterback but if you know you always lose yards on that play why do you run it in a critical situation? Duh? Why do you even have that play in the book? Stupid!
In this league right now when you pitch the ball back 5 yards to your running back usually means a loss of yardage. By the way reverses rarely ever work nowadays with good teams. They never work with a sorry offensive line. Both the pitch back and reverses should be removed from the play book until you get a really good offensive line and still should only be used sparingly. Stupid plays.
The object of the game is to ADVANCE the ball!! Repeatedly when you pitch the ball back 5 yards to the runningback most all teams are LOSING yards on those plays and we do not exactly have a dominating offensive line right now. What the heck were they thinking?
Speaking of Stupid people look at TO, he has been dropping a lot of balls lately (he always has) but one thing that bothered me is when he got intercepted he knew he was beat so it looked like he just let the guy take the ball. Not only should he went for the ball if the guy gets the inside line he has to try to knock the ball down. You do not just let the guy catch it. Then he blames the interception on the Quarterback? No that one is solely TO.
That one really stupid play did not cost us the game but it did not help. That whole game also brought up another question. Donavan Mc Nabb is supposedly one of the best in the league yet I wonder if Philly is actually a BETTER team with Garcia? Curly
