I don't disagree with that. My issue is 55's explosiveness seems gone. Which is beyond vital for that spot and for any justification of playing him in front of Hitchens.

That is due to "starter mentality" and "draft status mentality" in jerrys mind due to both those things Ro has to be the better player, even if he
is not 100%.
Me I would go with the younger hitchens, and use ro as bkup and fill in.
But that is just me.
