Pretty much confirmed my first impressions of our run defense. Their play calling really took advantage of us trying to attack gaps and we really didn't take advantage of them pulling guards, which really seems counter intuitive. Many of us on the board have come out and said why we are so dependent on Ro and this just adds to the pile of evidence. Good work Bob its appreciated.

Tyrone Crawford got his "Jesse James" day with Jerry and promptly went into hiding.
It seems he's making business decisions for his next contract. Wow!
He seems not ready for prime time.

Maybe Marinelli isn't really the great defensive guru we were all lead to believe? Maybe his rep originated from his days at Tampa under Kiffin and those great players they had? His record at Detroit was horrible. When Chicago hired him, the defense was good, but not top 10 overwhelming. So far in Dallas, very bad. My caution light is flashing bright yellow on Marinelli.

I agree.

Definitely not a good overall showing for the interior defense.
Don't want to write off Crawford, but damn, it has not looked good for him since the payday.

Emmitts currently on 103.3 saying the Cowboys didn't use Zeke in the most optimal way either.

Maybe this is the year we finally get rid of these coaches.. Romo may save their job again but man i'd love to switch. The problem is JErry will probably just hire another buddy and not a real coach.

It will never happen but Mike Shannahan is just sitting out there. He could get back at Washington if he is in Dallas and he always implements a great running game and has success with multiple qb's. He was a big fan of Romo.

It wont happen but he is basically taylor made to come here. He likes attention and is an ego maniac, he has a relationship with Jerry already, he could get back at Snyder, We have a great running game all set to go and all the offensive weaons he could want and maybe a young Qb. His son could get the axe if Atlanta is bad again. It would all setup perfect to take one more shot at people stroking his ego and again getting back at Snyder even though he has already been proven right.

Can you imagine Shannahan winning the east in Dallas, Snyder's head would explode.

Its not happening though and honestly he struggles with defensive decisions also.

Even his son in Atlanta gets production from the run game and X WR.

Strum's video combined with these all 22 pre-snap shots exposing our selection of pass defense to match obvious run scenarios during NY's final drive is a pretty damning assessment of front 7 and situational coaching. No doubt, we were beaten upfront, but an extra man in the box would probably have made a big difference in the time left for DAK in our final series.

Said it last week and will keep saying it. Worst front 7 since 89 or 90.

People complain about Garrett for offense and play calling but the real issue that should have already or could in the future be a reason for firing him is who he has hired to run his defenses.

Rob Ryan and Monte Kiffin/Rod Marinelli. The whole league knows these are guys who are not any good at getting results on defense, have problems with scheme and do not teach their players well. Marinelli's career is great and he is a great line coach but here in Dallas he is the coordinator and seemingly the head personnel man for defense.

they have followed his every word about what types of players they need to run his scheme and its a train wreck. In every way shape and form its a train wreck.

All this from the staff that wouldn't even consider Todd Bowles for a Defensive coordinator position. its nuts.

We have gone from Slow and powerful, to Little faster and powerful under wade to Slow, weak and small under marinelli.

I will never understand why they are so adverse to size on defense.
If Tony's goal is truly to win a Super Bowl, he needs to sit out the rest of the season and pull an Aikman/Gailey once the season is over. Talk to Jerry and get Garrett out of here. That's what I loved about Aikman, when something wasn't right w/ Switzer or Gailey he expressed his frustration with Jerry. At this point Tony is being way to nice and only enabling this train wreck by continuing to be Garrett's biggest advocate. This needs to stop if he wants any chance to go out a champion in his final 2 years. Bruce Arians has proven a quick turnaround is possible. We are circling the wagons with Garrett/Marinelli and company. Enough is enough. Romo/Witten are the only ones powerful enough in this organization to convince the Jones family to put an end to this madness.

This defense has about as little talent as you could possibly have. Its really THAT bad. Marinelli is lucky to get out of them what he does.

Exactly right. I have no clue how we didn't seem to know that the Giants were going to run out the clock on us.

Wow Bob just called this run defense terrifyingly bad on the ticket.

they were terrifying bad last season too but it got lost in the pathetic play of our Offense.there is no way this team can keep a team from scoring and running out the clock if we have a small lead at the end of the game, thats a built in disadvantage.Add our Dbs to the mix who rarely ever look for the ball and can make a play on it you get a truly nightmare scenario,This is all on the old fool Marinelli,he refuses to get big DTs in there to help out the Lbs in the run game and they get worn out at the end of the game.

What scares or makes me nervous is benson mayowa being thrown aside by donnell a TE who is really bad at blocking hope that was just a bad angle or he was off balence. I really hope when Lawrence and Gregory are back things improve
