If you want to start a fight, talk about the pro football hall of fame. This is a great interest of mine (not fighting, but the hall of fame) and I love talking about it every year at this time. I certainly regret not writing more about it before the induction announcements were made, but surely you are quite aware of the new class that was announced on Saturday from Phoenix.

Oh man, I almost choked on my dinner when I saw "Claiborne" next to "Hall of Fame." Gotta be careful with that stuff

Love Paul Dawson. Wouldn't be mad with taking him at 27. The DE's bottom of 1 all have massive warts.

You might be shocked to know that Dez Bryant is basically 1 catch from passing Swann’s career yardage totals.
Swann does have low yardage totals for a HOF receiver, but the cross-era comparison with Dez is meaningless.

In Swann's three best yardage seasons he totaled 2,450 yards, and ranked 4th, 7th, and 8th.

Dez has totaled close to 4,000 yards over the last three seasons, but it's only ranked him 6th, 8th, and 13th.

Another good write up. Regarding Mo, is there any way Marinelli can get him to be a quality CB for us?

Interesting comparison by Sturm of the potential plight of Witten and Ware in HOF consideration to what Kevin Greene has been going through.

It's unbelievable that Greene had 160 sacks -- more than any LB ever (since they started tracking sacks) and he hasn't made it.

Greene like Haley may be suffering from voters perceptions of his personality. As I recall he was a little flamboyant for his time.

I really like Dawson. I wouldn't be in love with taking him at 27, but if he were there in the second round I wouldn't hesitate. I wouldn't have to worry about LBer depth anymore because I would have three play makers available.

also, and I'm considering putting this into my sig line, there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between playing Corner Back and Safety. There have been very good examples of it in the past, but more often there are scenarios where they don't do that.

I'm not saying that Claiborne is or isn't a candidate, but I am inclined to believe that his skillset at Corner does NOT translate to safety. He struggles in zone and is not a great tackler....FYI - safeties need to do both of those well.

I'm not sure what there is to lose with trying Mo at S.

he would be a situational FS for dime and nickel single high. No way you want him in there trying to be the last line of defense on running downs.

CB is where he should stay, if he can't handle the pounding of a CB I doubt he can handle being an every down safety.

I do not have a lot of faith in him anymore. All bark no bite. You would think going up against Dez will help him out but I feel like it just breaks him after getting owned each day in practice.

I am hoping Claiborne can prove me wrong. He had high praises coming out of college. Looks to not have the confidence anymore. Wrong team to be on, especially with your coach bring Marinelli.

Yeah, I don't think he's going to put it together mentally to be honest. I just don't see the instinct for the position.
