Before the Iggles game, I was all for Collins starting (contrary to many of the football 101 experts on this board) because of his potential and, because he would be well-protected between Fred and Smith. Coach the kid up (stunts, film study, etc.); I am all for it again.

As long as he has his assignments (and blitz pickups) down in pass protection. I prefer him over Frenchie too. Actually it's difficult to ever prefer Frenchie.

It's a little simplistic that Collins gets all the credit for the long drives while Berny gets blame for the short ones. Don't you think? Theres a lot more going on than just the RG.

I felt before the game that Collins' strength and toughness should be the reason he plays more against Philly. Berny strikes me as soft. Thought Cox & co. would have a field day with 73.

I guess the "experience" argument a few posters here made didn't help Berny much. What a surprise, an average to below average guard played at that level in the game. Shocker!

Frenchie has never been dominate. He has always had issues. The only reason he started over Collins is the fact that Collins has had pass protection issues, he has over extended himself on running plays trying to destroy the defender. (basically maturity issues) My guess is he has been cleaning that up a bit and the coaching staff gave him a chance to prove he can play in a game and it looks like he did a good job. (I'm not just talking about by that drive sheet either)

He may not have been the reason for all the failures that happened in that game, but he certainly didn't help much.

Yet the stubborn coaching staff will continue to rotate them. Sort of like trading for C Michael and deactivating him each weak when McFadden is averaging 2.8 YPC on the season.

Sometimes talent trumps experience, especially when the person with experience is not all that to begin with.

Christine Michael was replaced on the Seahawks by a 34 year old has-been running back that has only had a single 1,000+ rushing season in his entire career. I'm pretty sure there is a BIG reason for that happening.

Lol, I have the mental image of you meeting him in person and saying "Nice to meet you, you strike me as soft"

I'd love to see that on video to see Bernys reaction

And Darren McFadden has posted 3 straight seasons with 3.3 YPC and is now putting up 2.8.
The Raiders let him walk and signed Trent Richardson.

How bad does he have to perform to take a seat on the bench?

McFadden is here first and he has real game experience. McFadden has proven more than Christine has in this league, so he gets the benefit of the doubt.

All Mcfadden has proven is that he is a bust. We dont know what Christine can do.

I don't care which one plays so long as it's the better man. If the team is trying to acclimate (or whatever the hell they would be doing) Collins even if Collins is the better player, they're doing everyone a giant disservice.
