Will Smith is so completely out of place in this movie. It's jarring every time he's on screen. My brain says "Hey, will smith" not "deadshot"

I have a feeling he's going to get incredibly too much screen time, and hardly ever wear his mask.

Agreed on all counts. Will Smith looks out of place and unnecessary.

I think the movie looks intriguing, but yet somehow... small. I didn't see much in the way of size or scope in the trailer, but maybe it will surprise.

These movies are all getting so redundant.

i guess if you have ADD and the shortest attention span ever. these are telling the story of the comics...which takes a butt ton of time, even on film.

He's been terrible for quite some time now... "Focus" was unbearable...
He's too cool to be a good actor.. (he's the most uncool cool guy ever)

the concept of comic movies is definately redundant ("Birdman" had good commentary on this)... hollywood found lighting in a bottle, and they can't produce original block buster scripts anymore... so comics, tv shows, & young adult novels, prepare to be raped....... But for comic fans, this is a golden age, seeing these characters come to the silver screen.

I somewhat agree. It's not Grier's fault that her Waller wasn't better in my opinion. The show didn't really allow her to explore the depth of the character. Smallville was a good show but it glossed over elements of the DC universe often--even though characteristics of the comics line were altered to fit the series.

I disagree, Will doesn't look out of place at all and he is wearing a mask and will be it's in the trailer. This is also marketing and whether you like it or not Will is still a big name but i don't feel like he will hog up the movie. Also his character Deadshot along with Harley Quinn are the most prominent of the Suicide Squad. Just get over the Will Smith hatred. Everytime this guy is in a movie the hate starts creeping in for some reason. The guy is a popular and pretty good actor. Do you want Jai Courtney or Joel Kinnamon to get all the screen time. Good luck with that.

That doesn't change the fact that they're redundant. Change the actor and the script...but the joker is the joker is the joker. Batman is Batman. etc etc

Its just hard to see Will Smith as a cold blooded assassin that deadshot is. There are roles that fit him the whole character of deadshot does not fit Will Smith. Sort of like how Vince Vaughn does not fit in this seasons True Detective

Looks like Will Smith playing the same character he always plays, but wearing a Deadshot costume this time.

Otherwise, I'm digging it. Thought it would be a train wreck but this looks so much better than it has any business being. Maybe DC's Guardians of the Galaxy. Leto and Robbie appear to have nailed it. Only have a vague knowledge about many of the other characters. Aside from Killer Croc, they seem kind of D list.

I'm still unsure on this one. Certainly looks better than Fantastic 4 (which is shaping up to be a pile of crap, despite the casting) but I'm not getting pulled in the way Batman vs Superman pulled me in, just yet.

Movie is still a year away though, so who knows.
