I hope we are finally calling out other teams plays for once.

Seen this on Extremeskins:

According to a tweet from a Washington Commanders beat writer, new Dallas Cowboys kicker Shaun Suisham told coach Wade Phillips about the Commanders’ swinging gate fake field goal play Monday night against the New York Giants.

Rich_Campbell

Dallas HC Wade Phillips: K Shaun Suisham alerted him to the Commanders’ swinging gate fake FG before they ran it vs NYG on Monday night.

If this is true, this is big news.

Is Suisham out for revenge on his former team? Definitely. Suisham didn’t know that the ‘Skins would run the play on Monday night. He was alerting Phillips of the play in case they ran it this Sunday night when the Cowboys visit the Commanders.

Is this dirty pool? Yes. I think it’s poor form on Suisham’s behalf, but can you blame him? He missed only three field goals this year and he got cut. Suisham wanted to hurt the Commanders’ chances of winning at any cost. It’s nice to see that our kicker is willing to throw his old team completely under the bus. I wonder if Suisham told Phillips about any other Commanders trick plays.

Suisham wont be a factor Sunday night. If it comes down to a field goal we don't deserve to go to the playoffs.

Yeah, that was such a great play it is a good thing we were warned about it.

There is no "dirty pool" here. If the Skins were smart they would have waited until after they played the Cowboys before releasing their kicker. That is what the Saints did.

Perhaps you didn't see the first game....going back several years, most Commander games have been within a TD or less. It wouldn't be surprising at all to see the game decided by a FG.

I said the same thing last year about losing to the Rams.

I still wanted the playoffs last year regardless.

we were without our qb that game. it deflated the whole team as soon as Brad started throwing picks.

Yeah, that's my point.

I said before that game, "If we cant beat the Rams even with Brad Johnson, we dont deserve to make the playoffs"

Well, that's BS, because I was as pissed as anyone when we failed to make it.

Now if they call holding on the forskins that really wasn't or a bogus pass interference call on them ,now that would make me feel we didn't deserve the win.

I'm saying that we should beat the Skins so bad we shouldn't even have to dress another kicker.

Cowboys Ready For Tricky Commanders

So maybe you've seen the video of Washington's fake field goal attempt at the end of the first half Monday night, with holder/punter Hunter Smith attempting a pass. Not pretty, the ball was easily picked off by New York.

Play calls like that should be a reminder of the kind of opponent the Cowboys are up against Sunday night. At 4-10, the Commanders can and will employ all sorts of trickery if they think it gives them an edge in the game.

During Tuesday's practice, in fact, Joe DeCamillis had his special teams units preparing for such hijinks. The Cowboys should expect lame duck Commanders coach Jim Zorn to pull out all the stops to try and beat his team's biggest rival.

"The last game they came out the first couple plays of the game running trick plays, I guess you'd call it," Wade Phillips said. "I think it's part of what they do. And they ran a fake for a touchdown this year. So you have to look for it."

You'll probably never see that play again. Zorn has 2 games left and after the way they exected that play i seriously doubt he'd make himself look foolish once again. After Zorn is gone i don't think it will be in the next coaches playbook.

I can't believe they lined up to do it again after the gmen called timeout. the play was actually supposed to have the punter throw to the center:laugh2: ol Zorny has been watching too many movies.

I wonder what Hunter Smith was thinking when he was waiting for the snap and he saw 3 Giants ready to pound him to dust at the snap and no protection in front of him?

Yeah we probably won't see that play again, however I do like that Wade is letting the Commanders know we are picking Suisham's brain about their trick plays on special teams. Hopefully, the Skins will keep the rest of their bull**** plays in their playbook.

Any information that Suisham could give us is cancelled out by all the vital information that Richard Bartel has already handed the Skins. Just ask Cowboy Joe.

i tried to tell some of you zoners that players do tell coaches some things and sometimes it does make a difference. Just like the week before we played new orleans, we brought in two previous players from the saints;

chris mcalister and herb whats his name a rb/fb

so it does make a difference

maybe next time some of you will listen to me more, i know what im talking about, i have some inside sources to the team; etc. ..

im sure bartel told them a few things and zorn has been gearing up for us; but that gets canceled out by the Commanders having bartel alittle because we have suisham who has seen their practices more;

but you cant take that lightly either, if you remember about 2 years ago in dallas the Commanders beat us on a fake punt for a run for first down;
