To all those that did enjoy watching the Who perform during the half time I'm happy for you but it boggles my mind why the NFL doesnt have multiple genres performing during half time. Obviously it was my personal taste to not enjoy the show and you cant please everyone but for being the most popular sports league in the country with all kinds of different people watching they should make a more concerted effort to make a better show. You can have 3 different artist or groups from selected genres and make one hell of a show during the half. Like I said you can't please everyone but people shouldnt be forced to one type of music

Definitely one of the most forgettable Super Bowl halftime shows of my lifetime.

Okay they were a Band form the 60s but I still think they did an awesome job for their age.

I can't remember the last half time show I watched.

Unfortunately, I remembered why I stopped. I grew up listening to The Who and was a big fan, but that was horrible.

If they ran out marching bands that would have been better than that.

As far as what should be done...I could not care less. I wont be watching.

I think it is more of a legal matter! You just can't trust today's artist to keep it clean on national television. If they don't you get the huge legal fees. Shoot - how many of todays songs can even be played in front of families. Not that many, any more.

No matter what they do somebody's gonna whine about it. Just have the punt, pass and kick finals at halftime.

If you put a hair net on the lead singer he'd look like a lunch lady.

How about hitting the mute button on the tv and then listening to your favorite artist on your stereo. Problem solved. ;)

Parents get offended when they have to parent.

So the FCC does it for them.

Hence, the aging rockstars. It still beats country music. But what doesn't?

The drummer is the son of Ringo Starr and i thought he
was a bit lame for their material. They have Simon Phillips and
the songs would have been so much livelier.

To heck with you Whiners...Big Who fan here and I thought it was a pretty good show. Better than that lame crap with Timberlake and Janet.

Most music today is crap anyway.

If you enjoyed it man thats all good but there needs to be more music variety during the half time. It would just make for a better show all around

Thank you! It was just a few short years ago that it was all Hip Hop at these types of events and all the league got was headaches because the artists seemed to have to be controversial and try and outdo the last thing someone did. I think the league is smart. I'm sure they have research that tells them that "most" of the NFL audience is 30-50 year old white blue-collar men. Thats why you now get The Rolling Stones and The Who. They are safe, popular, and appeal to the league's #1 audience. Next up, Styx, REO Speedwagon, or Journey.:laugh2:
