I really, really hope the Cards win cuz I hate the Steelers and Anquan Boldin is my favorite non-Cowboy, but the Steelers are getting another one handed to them. The Cardinals are a weak super bowl contender, just like the Seahawks, and I don't think this will be close.

Steelers by 17.

I remember the build up to Super Bowl XIV in 1979. There were people who thought the LA Rams were a weak team. The Rams finished the regular season at 9-7 and many felt it was a crime that they were even in the SB (I hated the Rams for beating the Cowboys in the Divisional round that year which was Staubach's final game) I remember hearing predictions such as 53-3 Steelers.
It was amazing how tought the Rams played Pitts in that game. If I remember right the Rams were ahead of the Steelers 19-17 in the third quarter when Nolan Cromwell had a chance to pull a pick 6 against Bradshaw. The ball hit Nolan right in the hands but he dropped it. The was a whole lot of green in front of him had he caught it. I always wondered how the rest of that game would have went had Cromwell pic that pass.
Anyway, the Rams gave Pittsburgh hell that day and I am sure the Cardinals will do the same next week ;)

Hey, I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just a bad matchup for the Cardinals.

The Steelers defense is built to eat teams like them alive, and they win by keeping other teams' defenses on the field longer than theirs. I think that will definitely happen, because Arizona can't run it and Warner is shaky as hell, even with his seeming rebirth.

Remember the Jets game? I think Warner pulls one of those.

1. Pitttsburg hasn't faced an offense or QB like this all year. The only one that is close is Indy and you see how that turned out.

2. Pitt. love to played in freezing temps with snow and that torn up field because it's condusive to tough football which is what they play. They want to play a grinding type of football. Well they will be coming down south where it probably will be sunny and about 75 degrees which is condusive to throwing the ball, something the Cards do well.

3. Who else can you name in pitt. secondary besides Polamalu. Yeah that's what I thought. The Card have 3 wrs that caught for over 1000 yards. The only way for the to stop the cards is by getting to Warner.

4. Protecting Warner. If you were going to play pitts and wanted to know how to stop their blitz package who would you ask? probably pitts Offensive coordinator or their oline coach who oh by the way is the Card head coach and oline coach.

5. Two weeks preparation. These 2 weeks will help the Card more than Pitt because it will give them more time to prepare for the backbone of their team which is their vaunted confusing blitz schemes.

6. Don't forget that pitt scored 2 tds last week but one was a fluky pass play and the other a pick 6 so their offense doesn't scare you.

I changed my mind... I am putting ALL my money on the Steelers. I have solid record in my SB pix over the last 10 years. I am 8-2. My goal is to go 9-2.

That is why I pick the Steelers.

I am NOT going to succumb to my emotions. I pride myself on picking winners.

Final answer...Pittsburgh Steelers.

But to be realist... I voted for the steelers. Ultra-favourite Polamalu & C. but...who knows, never say never

The THREE and ONLY points you just opined above have been completely debunked in these playoffs. ESPECIALLY in the Cardinals/Eagles game.

I mean, you're watching it right before your own eye's, yet hold onto the "conventional wisdom" instead of what you've just seen.

1. The Eagles defense is ALSO built to "eat teams like this alive". When you think of "defense" in the NFL, the Eagles pop up in the top three, and have been known for that Jim Jones led-blitzing machine for a decade now.
Everyone and their brother KNEW where the ball was going last week, and yet Fitz STILL had almost 200 yards and 3 TD's.

2. A big reason for the Warner/Fitz show is because ARIZONA CAN RUN THE BALL!!! Did you miss the first drive, and the first half last week! It almost looked like (gasp, heaven forbid) the "Cowboy Triplet" days. The Cardinals pounded that rock, and for big chunks of yardarge too!!! It was classic and textbook "run to open up the pass" stuff.

3. Warner is not "shaky as hell". In fact, he's UNFLAPPABLE and won't be intimidated or taken "off his game". If they blitz, like the Eagles of course did, he'll dice 'em up with his accuracy and quick release. If they drop back into coverage, he'll pick 'em apart with the short stuff over the middle or to the sidelines. If they go "bump 'em" off the line, it'll be a Fitz and Bolden fest.

What you want to believe is blinding your eyes from what you've actually witnessed in action....................
