Superstitious Popcorn

So, I have never been a superstitious person at all. But, here is why my mind is now going in that direction. I work next to a Big Lots Store. They have this "soon to be discontinued" type of popcorn (bags). I started eating it back in late summer, I love it, but I never brought it home. I started bringing it home to have during the games the week after Thanksgiving.

I didn't notice that since I have been bringing the bags of popcorn home to eat during the games, that the team hasn't lost...so here's the weirdest part...last week, of course I have the bag ready to go because at this point, I am thinking that the popcorn is magic or something. But, the popcorn has NOTHING to do with Dallas winning, right? so the game starts, and I had just driven back 5+ hours from Pittsburgh with my daughter (she went to the Steelers game with her bf)...she brought me popcorn from some store there....thus, when the game starts, I am eating the Pittsburgh popcorn...Dallas is getting beaten and I am angry...I took the bag out of the room that I was in; I come back, grab the unopened bag of popcorn from big Lots and immediately there is a 76 yard touchdown...(not kidding)

I don't open the bag as I am just watching the end of the first half. I open it to start the 3rd quarter and they get an INT on the first play (again, not kidding). I consumed the entire bag the rest of the way (afraid to move) and Dallas whoops on them.

so I ask you, should I be superstitious? did the bags of popcorn have anything to do with the wins? I can't say that they do, but I have a fresh unopened bag sitting in my "spot" waiting to get cracked open around 1:05pm EST on Sunday

This thread makes me feel better about my obsessive and strange Cowboy-game-related behaviors... we should all go on that show My Strange Addiction. At least we're not eating couch cushion...

Well, after the Niners game, I threw my jersey in the corner of my bedroom and it hasn't left that spot since. Have not worn any Cowboys gear on game day since then. Just black T-shirt and shorts/jeans. I also act like I don't care if I miss bits of the game. I'll go fry up some wings or something while the game is on(1st half), just kind of listening to it. Also, I have not talked any smack on social media, no "let's go Cowboys!" before the game or "how 'bout them Cowboys!?" after, like I used to.
Does that count as superstitious? Lol

Hope you didn't jinx us by telling us this.....that would be aweful.
So I'll counteract it with what I been doing, and not been doing.

Ever since the T-Day game...
I bought a new Cowboys coffee mug, actually been wanting to get it for over a year, but never did. As I always think, dang, I have a million mugs already.....
But I finally bought it that weekend. Just a simple plain black mug with the Star on it.
I haven't used any other mug since then.

I also have not posted in the "predict the score" threads. Read through them, but have not posted.
May have th Bears game, but don't think I did.

I was going to post this in the thread for Detroit, but thought I would jinx it. However, I had to post it to counteract this one.....

I have 3 Cowboys coffee mugs - I have been rocking the white one with the blue star since our December run started.

I only consume blue beverages. Usually Mountain Dew Voltage or a Blue Cherry Gatorade. If I'm having chips and dip I use blue corn tortillas. I change jerseys every quarter (if i have to) to try and find the right one. I've been on Romo for a while...

Same exact thing as me. I broke out an old Walker jersey after Thanksgiving and we haven't lost yet. But, last week I decided to wear my new Dez one. I went back to Herschell just before the end of the first half and bam! TD to Williams.

I wear my Sean lee jersey every week and switch after a loss. Didn't wear a jersey on thanksgiving while on vacation and we lost. Started to watch every game at home instead of down at local bar wearing Lee (so he's on defense in spirit) and we've won every one since.
