Barry Horn/Reporter E-mail News tips

That's what he tells Michael Irvin of NFL Network on Sunday's NFL GameDay Morning, which kicks off Sunday at 8 am.

And cashing the paychecks "of a fun guy to be around" has to be swell, too.

Here's Wade Phillips' words:

"It's a great situation in that a lot of places, you have to go through the general manager to get to the owner," Phillips said. "Right here, you go straight to the general manager, the owner, the whole thing, so if you think something ought to be done a certain way or you ought to get a certain player, those kind of things, there's no middle man. And if you have a reason for doing things, you know, he'll listen. He makes the final decision on things, but I think he's a good listener, too."

Or if you prefer, here's the video link.

...and if and when Dallas does win today, and Dallas has taken two of three Division Championships. What does that say, considering a complete change in team direction and personnel was included in that transition, involving both Wade and Jerry?

It's all useless without winning at least one playoff game.

It's the perfect marriage. Jerry tells Wade what to do and Wade does his best to do it. Here's to hoping Wade finally shakes his post season monkey and that
Jerry's way finally pays off.;)

I actually watched it. It wasn't a bad interview. And most of the NFLN crew were complimentary of Wade.

Of course, not all were sold on the Cowboys as a whole, but, in general, were quite complimentary of the players and Wade.

Wade came across very strongly, and was given kudos by the crew on set today...
