A TE runs a fast 40 and suddenly he's the next Winslow/Davis.

I know Miami's offense didn't exactly showcase Olsen, but that's much too high.

I don't think A. Branch falls that low. But if he does, that would be a great fit for us.

Before it's said and done Kiper will eventually have had about 50-60 players rated in his top 30 at one time or another. That way, when the actual draft happens, he'll most likely have hit on every first round pick at some point in time.

Value-wise maybe, but if he's the best TE in the draft, you can bet someone will take the best TE in the draft rather than the 4th CB, WR, or LB. Someone who needs a TE will be thrilled to see him there.

I don't know why exactly, but I have had a feeling for a while that Alan Branch will fall. It just reminds me a lot of the Vince Wilfork/Tommie Harris situation a few years ago. Everyone seemed so sure that Wilfork was going to go high, but both of them fell a little farther than they should have. I think Harris went around 13, and Wilfork slid all the way to the Pats in the 20s.

Something tells me that Branch and Okoye could end up doing the same sort of thing - where Okoye goes first right around #10 and Branch falls a little deeper into the draft.

As for the rest of Mel Kiper's board, I don't think you can fault any of the draft gurus too much. So much of the time all if takes is one big need or one team to fall completely in love with a player to throw everything off. All you can really do is hope they give you information and tell you who should be good and why.

I hope Steve Smith goes in the 1st round

that means a better player has a better chance of dropping to us :)

If i remember .....wasnt rumor that BP was ready to tag Wilfork and when he went to the pats right ahead of us (they trade Up?), then he pulled the cord on the Bills trade down..........??????memory is good, just short...

I disagree here completely!
He showed up against top competition and was always sure handed.
I would be happen to see Dallas pick him up in the first.
