I like this player...I would bring him in if he is interested. Right now we are relying on McQuistan, Procter, and Berger as our interior line back up. As we have seen from the past line depth, or lack there of, can shoot you in the arse.

this is a guy the Skins should go after, but are probably cash-strapped that they can't

I'd take him. We've got to build an impenetrable wall around Romo.

I'd try everyone and their mom at the Oline to protect Romo!!!

I was looking at their depth chart the other day and noticed that they had a young guard named Sowells that would probably overtake Andruzzi with the addition of Steinbach(they also have Fred Matua). I'm not sure who they will start at RT, they have Schaffer (the former LT and high priced FA from two years ago), Ryan Tucker, and developmental guy Nat Dorsey.

Schaffer was the RT in Atlanta, wasn't he? I think it could be reasonable to start Joe Thomas off on the right if he doesn't look ready to handle the left right away.

If Joe Thomas is the stud they think he is, he should play LT right off the bat. Schaffer was pretty disappointing last season at that spot. Ryan Tucker was supposedly a really good RT for them two years ago according to my Lindy's last year.

Oh, yeah I think Schaffer played RT in Atlanta, I just don't know if he's better than Tucker or Dorsey for that matter.

I wonder how Bentley is rehabbing. The Browns could have a solid o-line next year.

I doubt he wanted to be a backup and they had quite a few reasons to let him go.(Its very possible the Cowboys let Flo go next season)

11 yr vet
getting paid like an 11yr vet
replaced by Steinbach
younger, cheaper RG in Sowells

Cold numbers- cap hit. Andruzzi cost more, and either is no better or onlyslightly better then the younger cheaper guys. BYE BYE.

I'd bet that the Commanders would just love to have this guy. They likely would have to do some restructuring to be able to afford him, though.

Needing a G bad (because you couldn't afford to keep your own free agent in Dockerry) and not being able to sign a good guy like this off of the street should be the very definition of "cap hell". Yet Commander fans continue to tell us it's never coming for them.

:laugh2:

Kind of sad they don't realize they're already in it. They argue that they're not simply because they were able to restructure enough contracts to sign an old Fletcher and Smoot and pick up Stoutmire who has been around forever.

Of course they think they came out good from the Archuleta fiasco. I suppose they don't realize they're paying him 5 million this season to play for Chicago, lol.

They have very little at G since Dockerry left.
