The media is constantly referring to T.O., even when they talk about Chad Johnson. I have come to the conclusion that he will all always be remembered as a malcontent that destoys teams.

I have this funny feeling that will only be part of it the other part will be how he came to the Dallas Cowboys, turned **** around and won a few rings, surpassing his mentor Jerry Rice.

Give him three more years and a Superbowl win and he will be remembered as a player who finally got it right as soon as he wore the star.

I think it all depends upon if he gets a ring or not. He deserved one when the Eagles went to the SB.

It bothers me when people compare great players to super bowl rings, is like if you don't get one you are not great. Super bowls are won by good teams, not by one single great player, T.O to me is a great player and one of the best receivers if not the best in the game today whether he has a ring or not.

Good thing nobody said anything about TO not being great due to not winning a Superbowl then, we sure wouldn't want you getting bothered!

If we win a SB with TO on our team... it will be BIG.

BIG in the sense... Philly went out and got him.... choked and got cheated in SB at the same time. Should have had a SB ring in first year with TO.

So he comes here and we win it.... People will talk about how it should have been the case in Philly... then locked it down in Dallas.

Philly actually strengthens our case(TO's case) for how he will be remembered.

Sad to say... without SB win... they will dwell on the negative... in fact they will drive it home hard.... with a big old hammer.

Also believe the writers will really hold it against him. Have already seen some writers point out that no matter how good TO is supposed to be, he hasn't helped any of his teams to win a SB. Winning a SB will be great for the team but huge for TO (and Romo) as it solidifies TO's right to be a first ballot inductee into the HOF. Obviously it also a first step among several more Romo must make to do the same.

If he wins a ring he will be remembered in a purely positive sense, not only because he has flipped his attitude completely but because he has been a crucial part in getting two seperate teams to the big game. He should have had one in Philly and if he get's one in Dallas it will be huge.

Regardless of any of this, I will always remember T.O. as the most physically dominant receiver to ever play the game. To me he is the hardest receiver to play one-on-one because of his strength, size and speed, he is right with Jerry Rice on the talent side of things IMO.

the media can play with my toe-jam. once TO got here and i could see his "day to day" for myself, i was amazed at how much the media just blew stuff up to have something to talk about.

my opinion of TO is a 180 from when we first signed him and that was all TO.

Absolutly 100% ot basketball people where you find Micheal Jordan or Kobe Bryant every play slamming down a dunk. Not every play can the same player be on the field because theres an offense and a defense.

However back to the question, TO will be remembered as team obliterator and to me that greatest has to be the best in talent and how he impacts the team. TO was never a positive impact because he likes the spotlight. I cant remember Rice being the hog TO has been the past few years. Looking at numbers years from now he will be seen as a top 10 reicever of all time mybe 5 but for the people who have seen his off field antics, he will be remembered as TO, Team Obliterator, and that my friends is a sad thing.

I'm going to say that ship has sailed... A ring at the end of the season will make sure that ship stays at sea also..

Let's not forget to enjoy what TO does in the league RIGHT NOW. It's great to think about what his legacy will be, but we would all be remiss if we don't just stop and appreciate what he brings to the table for the Cowboys. If he ever gets to hold up that Lombardi with a star on his helmet, it will fill my heart so much. That will really be the perfect time to EMBRACE THE HATRED.

There would be nothing better for me to see T.O. lift that trophy with a star on his sleeve. I believe we have the team to do so.

When Dallas wins the Superbowl, he'll be remembered as one of the top 5 ever to play the position... Probably the greatest "run after the catch" wide receiver ever to play or right behind Jerry Rice.

Heck, he should start his own chain of restaurants! Now there's a picture I don't want to see... But back to the point. TO more than anyone on the team probably realizes his legacy rests on winning a SB. He feels it, I'm sure. Romo will be the guy who'll make it happen for him, and I'm 100% sure an already-inducted TO will want to give the speech when Tony goes in also. :)

He'll have to fight off Jerry and Witten and maybe some hot older babe to do it, but he'll at least want to...
