T.O. Hypothetical

My how times have changed! At one point you were T.O.'s biggest fan while he was with the Cowboys.

;)
You were a nanosecond from being banned, but I thankfully came to the realization that, "5Stars is such a kidder". :p:

Yeah...however, I know you are a true blue Cowboy fan, but your dislike of T,O. while he was here and before you became a mod was hilarious. I had never seen you so disturbed about a Cowboy player.

But, you turned out to be right...I give you that.

Disturbed? I do not know if that is quite accurate.

There is an old saying about coming across someone standing on the side of the road, who is on fire and not wanting to urinate to put the flames out.

That would not fit my views on Owens at all.

Now, if someone asked whether I would do #2, that's a whole different matter.

No disturbed fits quite nicely :lmao:

Im sure TO would be a great teammate sitting on the bench for 2/3 of the game watching Dez and Miles make play after play.

Yep, he'd have his popcorn ready too.

There's no upside with T.O. This is a young team, whose young players are gonig to get their chances. T.O. would only interfere in that process.

I still think the Commanders will give Gaffney/Stallworth/Austin/Armstrong a good look this week and if none step up, they'll sign Terrell.

Frankly, even at his age and coming off knee surgery, he's probably a bigger threat than any of their current WRs.

Don't Redstinks have like 15 receivers on the roster?

Yeah they do...and 2 are good enough to be the at best #3 WR on most of the other teams in the NFL.

I guess it doesn't help that they don't have much of a QB. :lmao:

In 2006, receiver Terrell Owens created a major stir with a drug overdose that was believed to be a suicide attempt. Last month, Owens reportedly had another overdose, as reported by TMZ.

Now, TMZ has obtained the 911 call that was placed earlier this month. Asked whether the ingestion of prescription medication was a suicide attempt, a woman who was speaking to the 911 dispatcher said, “Yes. I believe so.“

-------------------------------------------------------

Not surprising. I never believed the "accidental overdose" explanation in 2006.

Hard to believe that was 5 years ago. Seems like last month or something.

The first suicide attempt (er, "accidental overdose") was 5 years ago. He did it again just last month, that's what my post is referring to.

Just watching the T.O. interview on NFL network. Remembering that he was "good" T.O. at Philly for one year, and in Dallas for one year. Of course he always ends up being a distraction in the end.

BUT..... if Garrett could have a conversation with him, and we could get "good" T.O. (I'm talking personality not ability) for just this year.... would anyone take that chance?

Why?

Are we running short on over the hill 38 year old players who talk to much and want every game to be about themselves, all the while trying to turn the locker room into a "red vs blue" fiasco?

i'll wait for a bit more than "some unnamed woman..." as a source.

Yeah, I know. I was talking about the first incident. Isn't that around the time Parcells said, "You got sucked" to the media? :laugh1:

Parcells said that about some reporter asking if T.O. was sleeping in meetings and did not remember what Parcells was telling the team.

Parcells told the reporter that T.O. remembers everything he says, even from last week.

;)

Then he said, "Consider yourself sucked"..." (which I thought was odd)
