Just wondering what happens to the ball T.O. dropped in the Salvation Army kettle. Does the SA auction it off? And does T.O. get any kind of fine for that? If so, will the NFL donate his fine money to the Salvation Army? Sorry if this was already discussed in the game thread.

IMO that was a very funny celebration.

Salvation Army would make a good amount by auctioning that football off.

Serious question: Why would he be fined? T.O jokingly said the amount the ball goes for better cover his fine.

I thought it was hilarious. First celebration I've enjoyed in a while. Not sure why he wasn't penalized for using the ball as a prop? but I enjoyed it.

If I were them, I would auction it off. That would work out really well.

I'm still not convinced that the media will not turn that into something negative. Like that he was making a mockery of the kettle or something.

And they'll benefit from it. And it didn't draw a flag. Good enough for me. Even though I'd rather he just head back to the sideline.

All are good ideas.

Ditto. I bet the people sitting behind that kettle thought one of them was about to get a football. And then T.O. dropped it in the kettle.:lmao2:

I liked that celebration - now I want to hear that the SA auctioned the ball off and 10,000 families plus got a Christmas turkey from it.

...thoughtful TD celebrations he has come up with.

If the ball can be sold then at least some usefulness may come out of it and attention has been drawn to an organization that deserves it.

TO did nothing outside of the rules. The NFL says a player can celebrate alone. He did just that. Can we stop trying to figure out a new angle on TO? The guy is exuding TEAM. I thought his donation to the SA was the funniest thing I have seen thus far this year between the lines. :starspin

I thought was was a great thing done by TO. Salvation Army can auction that off and the monies can help many people. TO was going with the theme of donating to the Salvation Army, and that is the first perception I got that the ball would gain SA some serious money.

As far as Dallas getting flagged for that.... Can you imagine the reaction if a yellow flag would of came out for that??? :clubbed:

if they were to penalize him for using it as a prop in that instance, they might as well fine all the players who hand the ball off to people in the stands as well
