Wow.

Just what is the truth?

The truth is this in a nutshell:

1. T.O. did not attempt to commit suicide...all facts and details point to this inevitable conclusion.

2. We fans are lucky that this appears to be turning into a "non-story."

3. I am happy that T.O. is okay, both for his health, and for the fact that he's out at practice and hopes to play Sunday...in his press conference, he looked fine...one cannot hide the type of depression that results in suicide that fast.

4. This could only happen to T.O. >>> That's a fact. I don't really know what that means, and I don't really want to think about it too much or pretend I have any idea what he's really all about, but "This could only happen to T.O....period."

I agree, Wayne, all around.

I don't think TO should be blamed for any of this. But it is a part of the monster that is the hype that surrounds TO. Some of that is the media wanting TO to be the story, and some of that is TO's love of being the media's story.

You hit the nail on the head, Dale...Crazy things seem to happen to crazy people. I just want to see T.O. focus and have a huge game the next time he's on the field.

He is just biding his time until he explodes against the Eagles, scored 4 TDs and then plays LB one down so he can blitz and cream McFlabb.

People often hide the depression before suicide, but you are right, if they tried to commit suicide and failed, usually you cannot hide it afterward.

It's funny...

Eric Kusilius on ESPNRadio (who I usually really like) is saying this whole thing was TO's doing to get more attention. He said that anyone who doesn't see it his way is either a loyalist or dumb.

They all seem to be sticking to the ESPN talking points...

I don't put any blame on TO, what did he do wrong... The bottom line here is that someone made a statement "KIM"... And now she is trying to cover up what she said...

as always - the haters need a wall of excuses to hide behind.

we're responsible for our actions, wayne. period. if you've not learned to jump to conclusions by now that's not the fault of mature adults either.

only to? would the police ask different questions? would they write down "he said he was trying to hurt himself, but i checked his ID and he's not TO, so i know better..."

i'm tired of people inventing excuses for now looking stupid from earlier actions.

I've been saying that all day... I don't know who it was but my point was that someone was looking for a story... And when it comes from a major newspaper it eventually will go nationwide in a matter of minutes... But my question is who is the one responsible for giving the newspaper the info?

When you break it down it's either the 911 operator, Dallas Police, Dallas Fire and Rescue, Hospital, or Kim herself... Someone was looking for a quick 5 minutes of fame and guess what people bought into it...

Yes Wayne. Great post. I'm so thankful right now that this is a non story and the team can move on. There are big things ahead for this team this season and they don't need any stumbling blocks.

but we're still adults and should be able to sort through bull and reality. we should be smart enough to wait for facts before rushing off to judgement. to let a person's previous actions totally guide how you treat them moving forward removes that persons ability to ever change who they are.

as much as i hate TO i won't do that. and as much as i hate TO, i was STILL able to wait for all info.

many of those who didn't are now like cockroaches when the lights are on and the lie-fest is over and they run for cover and excuses.

Nice recap......I agree, how could T.O. really try to commit suicide just last night and be so HAPPY today? Catch passes and run routes for Bledsoe and Romo? It just does not add up to suicide!

I am glad as a fan of the Cowboys! I started the day off depressed about this b.s.

Maybe I'm tired, but I'm not really sure what you are trying to say with this post...?

I can't tell if you agree or disagree...just curious what it is you're saying.

Something similar happened to Keith Davis, though it didn't garner the national attention.

Those ESPN folks are something else!

I honestly thing that ESPN should add an ESPN-TO channel to their offerings. ESPN just can't get enough of him ... no matter what he does or doesn't do.
